I know this question has been ask many times before and no believer has been able to give true proof. I understand that you have faith and that is what it is all about and I respect that. I have nothing against Christans or any other believer. But I still see so many answers that include something like "History and archeology prove the BIBLE as true" or "The Bible is being proved true all the time". What is the proof?

Again I am not try to question anyones faith, I am just curious.

Those are what educated people call lies. Archaeology has also shown that the battlefield at Troy is real, but I don't see anybody claiming that Zeus is real because of that.

The Greeks wrote Greek History. The Romans wrote Roman History. The Jews wrote Jewish History.

Why is everyone so willing to accept Greek and Roman Histories and not the Jewish History?

Is it because God is so closely woven into Jewish History and you have doubts about God?

Well I have doubts that Romulus and Remus were nursed by a she wolf too. But I don't discard the history of Rome, nor do I label it mythology just because I happen to believe that one of it's tales may be.

I guess if you need proof of the Bible, you might as well discard all Ancient History as unfounded because the better part of the early history exist only in such texts. Oh yes, you can accept that there was a Troy because the ruins have been found. But then try to accept Jerusalem too because it is still there.

If you really want mythology try Atilla the Hun, hardly anything left of him but stories.

As for God and Jesus, if they are not in your heart you can't find them in a book.

There's plenty of hard proof in history that validates stories in the bible. But this still takes you back to the source of the story and the motives. When you keep digging, it takes you back to faith. I believe the whole bible, from Genesis to maps :)

3 proofs the bible is real;

1. No human would have written a standard this high
2. There is an interest, charisma, and climate the Bible generates. Take any other book around in public vs the bible and see if you notice a difference, without saying one word.
3. The nature of man is changed when he reads the bible.

#3 leads me to this conclusion

To believe God doesn't exist means a human being has the ability to imagine God, accept him in their heart, and immediately reap spiritual, mental and physical rewards of comfort, peace, happiness, and joy all on their own. That ability is God's grace.

God Bless

Yes, because how else could this book be written by over fifty people and still makes sense together. Also it has historical facts.

Take for enstance the Romans envading Isreal, that happened, or the story of Abraham going into Egypt, that happened, or the story of Moses crossing the Red Sea and the Egyptians being drowned by the water, theres proff of that.

Constantly the Bible is being proved all the time. Even today.

Resiently, Texian people foud strange formations of rock, turns out that it wasn't rock, but wood. People believe that this could be the ark from Noah. There's more proof.

Hope this is enough.

The proof is the Bible tells you what is going to happen. This is from 2 Timothy Chp 3
The Dangers of the Last Days
You should also know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control; they will be cruel and have no interest in what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.
Do you see this happening today? I do, more so than when I was growing up...and Im not old.

No but many of the stories are based on things that occurred even further back in time some are only allegorical stories. The book at least new testament was written some 200 to 250 years after Christ lived, and it was translated from the Septuagenta, (spelling?), which was 7 books written in Greek. Translating from greek to latin is tricky because one mistranslated word can change the whole context of a story. And the bible we know today was written and revise many times through history to suit the Roman Catholic church and it's political aims and to support it's own form of social control.

There are many archeological finds regarding biblical volumes and history correlating to some of te things told therein (mostly pretainig to specific historical facts like wars, and so on, but also many general details as to the lives of people of the period: social structure, laws, family, agriculture ext.). These discoveries give the bible a proper historical place detailing how and when was the volume complied, when where the individual books written (based largely on lingustic analasys). However, they do NOT prove the varacity of the books content overall, nor indicate any divine origin of it.

There is no proof. That's why it's called faith. I'm not being sarcastic or anything, so please don't think I am. I think that the main reason that people believe in the Bible is because so many people think it is true and real, and also because it gives people someone to lean on; to ask for advice; to blame when things go wrong. I believe in Him, but I do not think the Bible is completely truthful. Sorry that I couldn't answer your question better, but what I think it comes down to is "faith".

They find some part of the Esaie book in the Dead Sea. And everything who the prophet write before in will come true at this time, like for the birth of Jesus Christ. If you want you can read the bible and maybe sometime you will not understand what you read but with some search you gonna see be yourself that it's true.

The Bible is for the most part very true. It gives you a history of kings, rulers, places, and events that have been proven. Cities, burial sites, and trading routes have all been found thousands of years laterdue in a great part becuase of the Bible's descriptions. For example it tells oyu exactly which Pharoahs were in power, where they lived and today we know these facts to be true from carbon dating. There are literally thousands of examples.

There IS proof! All the events and cities being burned down and everything that's recorded in the bible is recorded in history and can be found and proved by archeologists and *gasps* open-minded scientists! Even Christ's death was recorded in history! Even John and Paul's!
