Well living here on Long Island, New York and people traveling into the city every day, that sometimes can take up to 3 to 4 hours ONE WAY, can tell you that the best thing you can do........is realize honestly, you have no control over traffic. When there are flat tires, overturned vehicles, car accidents, etc, there is not one thing you getting mad, worked up is going to do so first realize, you have to give it up, lose the control factor. Then I would either bring stuff for you to listen to that is calming, in the car, music you like to listen to or stuff you want to learn about. You know, they even have books on cassettes and CD's now from the library too? So, what a way to get something accomplished while sitting in traffic, works for me!!!! Also, you might bring paperwork or stuff like that, or letters, mail you haven't had a chance to read or return or thank you notes or something that needs to get done and you don't have the time. 'Cause guess what? If there is a traffic jam and you're not moving, you might as well do something?RIGHT? Then if you are really, really tired, call your wife and tell her you're going to pull over, get some rest, and get a bite to eat some days/nights as you need a break. Also, make sure you make time for yourself, alone, with your wife, your friends to have fun! That eases the work week and drive too! Then when you get home, you'll be the happier, healthier for it and sounds like so will she and your dog!!!! Also be thankful for what you do have, and that is your good health, and what you have worked for!!! Nowadays, it isn't easy living life some days, and don't get lost in the negative, think positive! Like you have your health, you can see, so you can drive, you can hear, so you hear those horns, lol, etc. Ya know what I mean? Just go with the flow........hey, maybe you are being prepared for learning patience now............for who knows what the future holds?AMEN!

I don't know, because there are so many idiots out there who are inconsiderate that it will make someone angry as hell. They want to drive and be inconsiderate, but society just expects everyone to just keep driving and go on. They should at least hear a horn blow when they act like an idiot on the road. They whine about people with road rage? Well what about the morons who cause people to have road rage? Sometimes I would like to drag someone out of the car and beat the hell out of them for some of the things people do when they're driving that are so over-whelmingly inconsiderate.

- Make sure the air conditioning in your truck works
- Expect the traffic. If you're surprised by it, it makes you madder
- Don't change lanes. If the lane next to you is a little faster, let it go, it will only slow down the second you change into it.
- Turn on your favorite radio station
- Don't use your cell phone. Just allow yourself to be incommunicado for a while.

Open your windows, turn up the radio to max vol, piss off the other drivers. You will be too busy dodging objects to be angry.
OH! And have patience.
