rule of thumb is 4 people per pound. Get a hold of a book called Food For Fifty . an invaluable resource

Since you are serving meatballs on the side, I'd say you will need at least 20 1 lb boxes (five servings per usual potful). God bless you! lol
Personally I would serve long loaves of italian bread rather than rolls, cut up into maybe sixteen slices apiece, besides salad, to help fill 'em all up. And you could offer sausages and peppers (cut really small) too for variety, which might cut down a bit on the amount of pasta you will need, who knows. Tell your friend congrats from us. :)

30-35 pounds is safe if your serving 100 adults if you wanna be safe about it. a pound a usually serves three people confortably.
