why do guys always tell me how cute i am when they see my profile pic. but yet i don't think so?

You lack self-confidence, is all. That doesn't make you at all unusual, either, by the way.

Every young man and young woman (and a great many who are older!) is much more critical of their own looks and personalities than the people around them are.

One of the hardest things many of us have to learn is how to take a compliment. We tend to say, "Oh, no I'm not!" when told we are pretty ... or deflect the compliment one way or another.

The first step is to learn to say, "Thank you." when someone tells you how pretty you are. That is how we learn that we actually ARE pretty or handsome ... because we are told we are.

It's also important to listen carefully so you can begin to learn who is being sincere and who is flattering you. Those who are just flattering you might just be after something. If they say something you KNOW is not true ... beware.

On the other hand, if they say you are pretty ... that's not something you KNOW is false ... it's just something that you perceive. Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Just relax and let those compliments start to build your self-esteem and self-confidence. We all have to do that at some point ... so why not now?

As women, we tend to be our own worst critic. When someone tells you you're cute just say "Thank you." You'll be surprised how much it will boost your self esteem by not answering with " No I'm not " or something negative like that.

They are telling the truth and putting your ownself down doesn't help with the guys. You need to be more positive of your looks.
