My dear friends,
I am here to share you my humbles views on this very controversial topic; however, I do apoligize to the asker: I may not be able to provide you with an answer,
Before I begin, please permit me to acknowledge [Tommy vue], [I LIKE TO MOVEIT!!] and [price check aisle 5]. They have chosen what can be called the middle way - and it is very fitting in this situation where both beings of heavenly stature would not engage in any battle of any sort.
I would also like to bring the attention to [know it all] and [Brad], I noticed that you seem to express yourself in a rather offensive manner toward Lord Buddha when comparing to the Holy God and Jesus. May I bring to the attention of you both, especially [Brad], that there is something known in all religions as "the blesphamy of the sacred saint"; please do not commit such a evil deed. Respect other religions as they were your own - as we can see from the great example set by [MarissaS] - but also make your own stand. And another point of information, upon the pir-nirvana of Lord Buddha, His body was engulfed in flames of multiple colours entering a state of rainbow transformation, then when all settled, the remaining relics floated to the safe-keeping of His most seniors disciples. So, I truly do not know where the "grave" idea evolved from - like we say, "if you don't know, then keep your mouth shut." And yes, Buddha "was" a man - this "was" refers to Him before entering the Bodhi path to enlightenment. He manifestd the human form just to show other human beings that they could too attian the ultimate supreme enlightenment.
To the asker, please forgive my need to rectify the misunderstandings in the above, but I felt it need be done. You seem to have a number of questions involved here, but I will attempt to summarize it all into one question, and I hope do you no injustice. Basically you wish to know who would win, or who is better?
The answer I give you is simple and incomprehensable at the same time: "neither nor". Lord Buddha would never be involved with a comparision of such nature, and yes, one of the first teachings He bestowed upon His disciples was "non-violence". Jesus was again a living example of "non-violence". The two have also great deeds where they could have easily utilized their miraculous powers to "fight back", but that is not the way of Buddha; not the way of Jesus. In any case, I do not believe your question, [Seeker], revolves on this issue, but rather, if the two Great Holy Beings ever encountered, what would be the outcome?
Althought Christianity condemns other religions, this was not the original teaching of His Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, He did proclaim that to be saved you must follow his path - but that was in context to the people of that scenery. i am very sure if He was in India, China, America etc... at the exact same time when other religions were developing in the respective areas, He would speak differently. Lord Buddha was no different. He never claimed His path the only path; but rather suggested that each and every sentient beings had their own path to walk. It was through His suggestions and teachings after reviewing the flow of the Universe that He would guide a particular student on a particular path to enlightenment. So you may see, the two were extremely similar.
I believe that if they were still physically in this realm of existence, they would criticize every one of us - including me: "you humans do not understand the universe, nor the light. stop your bickering and go on with your lives to try and follow the examples given by us. if there is to be only one path, then the world is doomed; but would the Greater Universe leave sentient beings to such anguish - NO. "
Hopefully I have provided some thoughtful insight into this good quesiton, and I welcome criticism and education from all our learned friends of the world wide web; religious and non-religious.

Jesus - remember something - if you don't have a problem with Satan you're playing for the wrong team. If he's already got your soul there's no reason for him to mess with you. He's only going to fight for those that aren't already his. So, there are arguments about Jesus, battles for the truth and, yes, wars and people die.
Of course, I'd rather die for something I believe in and find out it's not true than never fight for anything and find out I should have believed.

Jesus is completely worthy, in my own life he has shown great examples of what you are asking. He let my dad go out of work . . . {may that be one of the battles you are talking about?} but through that he has opened up time for my dad to build his relationship him. My dad has grown (along with the family) so far spiritually. It is amazing . . . the wonders he has done and will do. You might be thinking how can this girl this teen be so connected spiritually or so confident in what shes writing. The answer would be that when I was 5 I on my own will accepted Christ as my personally savor. He is the one who had his son crucified, beaten, teased, humilliated, and punished more harshly than anyone will ever know. No one will ever know because no one could ever experience that much pain. And do you know who he did it for YOU. The same person who is critcticizing him distroing his reputation. And you DON'T even know him, right? Have you read the Bible because is you do I garentee you that you will find out for your self that my God the only true God the savior the redeemer the forgiver and the CREATOR (the one in the trinety - God, Son (Christ), Holy spirit) has Great compassion. Think about it he gave his very own Son just so that you could be with him for eternal life. (Roman 3:22-26 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished he did it to demonstrate -his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.) (John 3:16 For God so loved the wolrd he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.) God is different that Buddhist by a long shot. You see My God is a living person a linivg God that has an actually religion, you might enjoy believe in him because he is DEAD he DOESN"T have rules hes NOT living. So you see I could write on days on end and tell you about My God my Savior but I don't know what millions of deaths you are talking about in your question. I only know of one and that is Christ's death. You may e-mail me back to continue this chat. I hope you understand all that I am saying I don't mean to hurt but to heel please come e-mail me with all questions you may have.

Buddha & Jesus are both non-violent beings. They wouldn't fight. But, I'd love to be around for the conversation those two would have.
