I think they should just stop bi**** about it. I mean come on.. if it's up, put it down.. if it's down... put it up. You don't hear men complaining.
I think it's a fall back. Women ALWAYS need something to B*** about. And if everything else is ok, they can fall back on that.
LOL.. for the record... I live alone and the seat and lid stay down. I got that from living with my mom and sister. It was reinforced when I joined the Navy. I was a submariner and if the toilet seat slams down, it could give away our position to the enemy.

Because women know that if you flush a toilet with the lid up, you're exposing yourself to all sorts of flying germs that you really don't want anywhere in your bathroom, let alone near your head. Toilets have lids for a reason, and if the lid is down, then the seat is down too.

The seat and lid are to keep toilet water from splashing out of the toilet when you flush it. I actually watched this on discovery, they put ultraviolet dye in the toilet, flushed it, turned off the lights and shone the light around the toilet, and there was ultraviolet splatters all over the wall, up to 4.5 feet up the wall. That's ONE reason YOU should start putting it down

Women leave the seat down so they don't fall into the water when they sit down to go....! Men never wipe the trickles they leave behind after using the toilet with the seat down so HEY LADIES, WE SHOULD LEAVE THE SEAT UP. BUUUUTT then THEY WOULD, think we are saying that they are to weak or lazy to do it themselves when, well, WE ARE SAYING THAT and also that YOU MEN ARE BAD AIMS TOO!!!!!.

It looks nasty to have the seat up on the toilet all the time, BUT since I am the only woman in my home, I put the seat up for my husband and my boys. I'm good like that. :)

Sorry, but toilets come not only with a seat, but with a LID. Not only does the seat belong down, but so does the lid.

Both boys and girls need to sit at some point, so it should remain down as a general rule (and yes, the cover, too, when not in use, of course).
