Let's break this down a little into segments....we (the US) funded and supported Saddam but also Noreiga and others so we hurt ourselves through petty politicians. The fiasco in Taiwan was produced by Luce,-Reader's Digest- and perpetuated by Washington....it is not new that our leaders made serious mistakes. We gave Generalissimo Chiang over two BILLION dollars and turned our backs on an amicable solution in French IndoChina (and was a step towards the war in Vietnam).Bin Laden is not the greatest criminal, after all the USS Maine caused more American deaths (large numbers of people in 9-11 were foreign) but it was ok...just engineered by Hearst newspapers No, we have not caught Bin Laden for a suspicious reason.....it keeps the war, the generals, and such happy...If he is caught...MY GOD we have no reason to be there......oil prices will soar..I agree totally that everyone needs to examine our policies and the government and find out who is pocketing the $$$

We are the greatest country on Earth, yes we may of spent over 40 billion on defense, and we need to. To a point , the government is corrupted, congress men allow stupid things to happen when they have money waved in front of them, such as ignoring the illegal alien problem, or allowing PETA to run around this country funding domestic terrorist, while taking a tax exempt status.
However with all the problems weather it be the illegal aliens, racism, extremist, or the war in Iraq.. This is still the greatest country on the face of the Earth, and the fact that the government has not put a bullet in your head for your above ranting, proves that.

When people are upset about over-spending, it's usually over social welfare programs or pork projects. Most tax payers can see that a large defense budget is essential to all other programs the government creates. You need to read a little more about why conservatives dislike high amounts of government spending.
P.S. Catching and prosecuting Bin Laden isn't really a "defense" priority....it's a political one. The "defense" priority of limiting his influence in al-Qaeda and undermining his appeal in the Muslim world is enjoying some success, though.

The government spending is for America. Whether I agree or not with the over spending on alleged national defense, it is for America. Illegal immigrants are here illegally and I don't like that even on red cent is going towards the education, health care and other services to them. My money should be spent on Americans and their social needs period. I wish we would tax those countries that don't provide for the illegal immigrants who are already here. I want reimbursement.

And whatt is with these people that don't like wha u say about the us government, they tell you to get out of ur own country..People know the government is messed up, but because they are "AMERICANS" ne thing said against it is wrong. I say people who are blind to the real issues should get the hell out of the US.
i have one question.. I'm an american, i sit at home working for the government taking care of the handicap adults "american people" just frown up on. and it's TAX FREE MONEY!! should i leave this country because i'm not paying taxes?

Why does one have to do with the other? One point is about the pentagon using money in order to keep us safe(and I hear you, you are implying that they are not using that money wisely) and the other point is spending money giving a handout to someone(illegals) who doesn't even legally live in this country. I understand what you are trying to say but your argument is flawed. You are comparing apples to oranges and that never works when trying to make a sound argument. Try again.

is there a question?
and what do you mean by "not welcomed"? most Iraqi civilians are happy that we are there. the only people there that want us gone are the insurgents. the people are very thankful for the ousting of Saddam. how do i know this? i know 3 people who are currently in Iraq, and a fourth is leaving for Afghanistan. why not run for government offices or try to get involved and change things instead if whine?

Those responding to the latest government diversions are usually less than informed on the "big ticket" items. But they are doing exactly what the "man behind the curtain" wants them to do!!! (The Great and Powerful Rove)

I've always said that most of the people running this country are evil. Though for entirely different reasons, i agree when you say the real enemy is our government. How can we change that, when they cheat and lie to stay in power? You tell me and I'd join you in the fight to change it.

Homosexuality remains extensively criticized via maximum human beings, we're not attempting to "convert" human beings to homosexuality as you will possibly think of we basically desire all and sundry to have equivalent rights. a effective few words I heard in a speech supplies me a mushy perception why we desire rights "we can be waiting to take back what’s ours, a unfastened and democratic society. For the folk, of the folk, via the folk." till we are waiting to be unfastened like right this moment human beings and not be criticized for something we will not shield. And it is not making homosexuality exciting, this is making it look socially proper via fact it replaced into normally looked down on, we basically desire our rights we ought to continually be entitled to. Have a reliable day - Jake.
