murder is murder, in court there's no excuse.
Some are selfish
Some have no clue that they're actually killing a child
Some need help...they're afraid cuz the parents want to kick them out, they fear losing a job, or their bf or hubby is abusive
NEVER NEVER tell anyone to have an abortion! help a pregnant woman if she's in need!

I see what you're saying, and in some ways agree with you. I know that I personally could never have an abortion because I would feel so guilty, but at the same time, that's just me.
There are always gray areas to situations, so something that may seem simple to you or I, in fact is not. Sometimes girls use protection, every type of protection they can think of, and still get pregnant. Sometimes women are raped and become pregnant as a result. To them, I don't think abortion is a selfish choice, I truly think that most women are trying to do the best thing for the child.
I mean, if you were pregnant and found out early on that your child had a debilitating disease that would complicate and shorten their life outside the womb... would you still want to give birth to it and have it live a horrible painful life? How selfish is that?
I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but you always have to think of those gray areas... no situation is the same as the next.

Well, first of all, I doubt it's your place to judge. But, some women, and of course I can't speak for all, do so because they have that option and it's their body. We all make mistakes. And, living in this country we have the choice. It's not something that should be abused, and I say with confidence that most women do not go into this decision lightly- without alot of thought and self reflection. But as somebody who has been there, it was the best solution to an eighteen year old's problem. If you know you're not ready to be a parent and you wouldn't make a good parent- the damage has already been done- sometimes you have to take the least desirable path. (And there's an air of religion in your question. I would urge you to put more effort into being less judegemental of others and more towards helping people.)

Your questions is a little too religious and one that you have to deal with a person individually not as a whole. Technically there is no "life" until and organism is able to support it's self (meaning that it can breathe and has a heart beat with the aid of another). The other part of your question is simple many parts of the world are over populated the way they are so why on earth would anyone want to bring an innocent child into this dark world where there is terrorism, death, destruction, and no guarantee that they will be safe happy and healthy? As to the not having sex part whomever you believe in gave you your body to experience life and all it's wonderful feeling and sensations so why would you deprive yourself of one of the most wonderful feelings in the world which is sharing your body with someone you love? Most Creators are kind and forgiving. Now with that said I really don't approve of abortions in most cases however I think that your question all though provocative is a little narrow minded and feel that you should try to broaden your horizons in all aspects of your life. Do keep on asking questions though that type helps everybody understand everybody else a littel better.

ok i'm only 14, ive done research cuz i was thinking close to the same thing...heres the deal: girls that get abortions are really young, they aren't in any way financially stable, the could have gotten raped and that was what happened, or their boddies can't handle child labor. sometimes its not even really their decision to make. i mean if u were pregnant at age 16 and u didn't have any money to give ur baby what it needs and ur terrified that once u have it u won't be able to let it go....ur parents would kick u out if u kept it and so what do u do? of course u say set it up for addoption, well what if the doctor says u have a chance of not making it out of the dalivery room because u are a very petite young lady.
yea they are all a bunch of what if's but these are all reasons that girls abort....its not selfish its actually for love of their unborn. i don't know about u but when i have children i want to be stabe and be able to love them without struggles to find food. and ur right some girls do it cuz they are selfish but not all.
no its not that simple anyways, u can get raped or ur protected but something goes wrong....u have to think about all of the reasons y and y not not jus what u want to believe.........
well thats that for ya

If they want to kill the foetus they probably should not grow a life within them. No one dies without SEX. They should use protection if they are so desperate to indulge in pleasure. I m neither against someone who is having sex nor I m to judge any ones character but those who abort babies even if they r as old as two weeks the r killers. If I have been a judge I would have convicted them and make a strict law against this horrible crime. They must know that a life is very precious and a small foetus has equal right to life -Sheena

Who are you to say that you are doing what's best for the fetus??Even if they had birth defects or something, they do know how to be happy, don't they? You're just assuming that it'd be for the best. Its actually more to be whats best for you! So you won't have to go through life raising a child with down syndrome or birth defects! So you won't have to go through life struggling to keep a job because you're too young! You're too young to have sex but did that stop you? It doesn't matter if you got raped. It's not your fault but its also not the baby's fault but the difference is you're the one who knows right from wrong and that baby doesn't know anything! Two wrongs doesn't make a right! I mean c'mon you know the consequences when it comes to sex, why do you still do it?? I mean if you knew this person had aids would you have sex with them? No, you wouldn't. You wouldn't because you know you would probably die right? Well, when you have sex you know that you could possibly be killing a baby later too right? THe only difference between these two are that you will risk it only if your life is not the one in jeopardy! Also, I have a step sister who died because she decided to go through with carrying the child even though she knew she possibly wouldn't make it! Of course, its a tough situation but you can't decide to kill others for your life! She was one of the greatest people i knew and really unselfish! If you get horny, just masturbate if you are not ready to have a child! Your horniness is killing lives! If you are the one at fault, don't take it out on innocent lives!
To you people who do not know, its not just a blob of blood okay! The heart starts beating at about 1 month! That's before most of the mothers actually find out they are pregnant!

I think there are some who are heartless and seem like its nothing, and then there are those it does affect. I don't think abortion is the answer either, but then again that's just me, I couldn't imagine doing that or dealing with something like that.
Then again if I was raped and got pregnant I'm not sure I would want a daily reminder of such a awful and tragic thing, but then again you never know what you'll do till you are actually there in the situation.

You know I thought it was illegal to clone people,,,but clearly I was wrong. Pro-lifers all seem to be pretty much the same.
Let me ask you a question. Let's say you got want you wanted and all abortions ended all over the world. What would you go after next??? My guess is contraception would be your next target.
What really bothers you people, the loss of unborn life or people having sex outside the boundaries you would place on that activity.
I can share your concern about unborn life. That is a complex and difficult subject. Both sides of the argument are compelling and not just for me but for many people. But I think sex between consenting and loving adults needs to be when, where and how they want it. That being said, I believe we should be responsible enough in our activity to prevent unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. Of course contraception is the way to achieve this, but my experience with people on your side of the fence is that you want don't contraception either. There's never any compromising with you and if we give in to you on one issue, will you sit and relax??? My guess is no. You'll simply go after the next item on your "religious" agenda and try to make the rest of us toe the line.
Experience also teaches me that you are probably pro-NRA. So you should readily understand my concerns. The NRA fights every common sense gun control law, because they fear that giving up on one point will only make them vulnerable to the next one and the next one until they have lost everything. So now you know why we resist you so strongly. We know you have only just begun.

Here we go, yet another person who wants to sit on their pedistal and preach to people via yahoo answers. This isn't the first time someone has posted on here expressing views such as yours and while you are most certainly entitled to think and feel the way you do, so are others.
There are many reasons that women get abortions. Who are you to sit in judgement over them? They have to answer to no one but themselves and God for their actions. While many consider the action of abortion to be morally wrong, there are too many factors to weigh.
While I do not believe in abortion personally, I AM pro-choice. I do NOT pretend to tell another woman what she can and can not do with her body in any respect. Not all abortions are done out of an "Oh gee, I had sex and got knocked up even though I do not want a child". What about rapes and molestations? True, that baby didn't ask to be a result of such actions but the victim of such actions didn't ask for it either. I commend women who are able to carry such pregnancies to term and either raise that child or give that child up for adoption. HOWEVER, were we to do things your way, how many children/teens would we have walking around pregnant with the babies of their father, brothers, cousins, or rapists? How many women would we have giving birth to the reminder of one of the most, if not THE most, traumatic events in their life. Go ahead and argue they could carry to term and give the child up for adoption but I won't agree. Not when there are too many unwanted and unadopted chidren in foster care and orphanages as is.
Again, while you are entitled to your own feelings and opinion, how dare you sit on your soap box and condemn anyone. Walk a a mile in their shoes before you open your mouth to berrate. I pray you never fall victim to any type sexual assault and end up pregnant as a result, but should you, you after preaching what you have preached here, you d*mn well better not abort.
ON AN ADDED NOTE: Those who are responding aren't "judging you without knowing anything about you". You bluntly stated your opinion on here and are reaping the consequences of having done so. People are merely reacting to your words. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

For it to be murder, it would have to be illegal. Currently, abortion is not prohibited by any state statute outright, though there are restrictions dictated by certain states. Using the word murder at this point, would just be a method by which the speaker (or writer) tries to invoke an emotional response from the listener (or reader) Questions set up like this are obviously flame bait and puts you in the category of a troll.
You might also like to read up on on logical fallacies, as your comment (or position) after your question contains at least one, (argument from personal incredulity) but possibly two.
