ok well i try to understand americans (being one myself) about all this illegals stuff you guys complain about. why do a lot of people (not saying everyone) have to blaim the mexicans. there are a lot of other illegal people here that are not mexicans. there could be people from all over south and central america. i always here mexicans this and mexicans that. i don't see anyone complaining about illegals that could come from other parts of the world.. for example i heard on the news that many illegals got caught when the "migra" decided to randomly stop cars to check for their status. well how would they randomly stop cars if they only stopped the people with tan skin. not one light skinned person was caught. many americans say that it is not rasicm but how else can this act be justifyed.? and why do only illegals with dark/tan skin get the actual insults and stuff like that?

Everyone will have to excuse me on this one But if illegals who come here because of poverty, break the law, then I suppose if were hungry and had no money in a poor country I would steal to get my children food, I guess I would not mind people calling me the Criminal I am. Yes Illegals are criminals and dangerous especially the pregnant ones with little children and no money. Then there are the others who committed murders and higher offenses. Both Equally Criminals.

But just because Mexicans are a majority? Why call them all Mexicans can't it be Latin Americans, All come from Latin America, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Nicaragua. But maybe people are right its best to call them all Mexicans and just stereotype, its easier I guess.

Many of the questions by illegal supporters are written regarding 'Mexicans' and that helps frame the debate. However, you are right. The point is illegal immigrants. Since most come from Mexico and another huge amount comes from other places in Latin America, that might be one factor to take into account in stopping people, just as if that percentage of illegals had a specific tattoo might make having that tattoo relevant in the decision to stop people.

I think we go out of our way not to racially profile, however. I am blonde and have had physical searches, and on separate occassions 'random' baggage searches when traveling. I don't fit the 'racial profile' for someone needing a search.

Since I am concerned about national security and have nothing to hide, I have no problem with it, either.

The authorities are bound to stop more cars that have someone who is more likely to be an illegal from south/central America ie someone darker skinned. But the racism people suffer in the country is wrong. You can't blame one race for issues that lie with the government.
When people are being so hateful they should ask themselves if they would come to America if it meant themselves and their families would have a better life. I know I would.

I think you'll find that a lot of people on this site are against ALL illegal immigration ... personally I would have no problem with being stopped at border checkpoints and asked for ID ... in fact, that has happened to me on a few occasions, and I'm about as white as they come ... the subject of illegal immigration and border security really doesn't have anything to do with anything except protecting the United States and its citizens from illegal aliens and companies hiring them from ANYWHERE ... and if I hear racism again I'll scream ... I would be equally against an invasion hoarde from Norway, if such could be contemplated ...

Standing up for our rights and the enforcing of the law is NOT discrimination or being racist. That is some crap the illegal throw in to cloud the issue of their breaking the law and posing a threat to national security. None of us who are against illegal immigration have said it was just the Mexicans. The only reason that they are mention as much as they are is because they are the greatest problem with the largest number of illegals in this country and they are the ones who keep attacking the citizens of this country for standing up and saying no to their criminal activities. Every single illegal here is a criminal. That is what the word illegal means. They are knowingly breaking the law (quite a few of them) and do not care and have no respect for our law or our people. Millions of others have entered this country legally, so why can't they?

JULIE...I understand your deport illegal immigrants thing but ONLY ENGLISH IN AMERICA is too much. Just bcoz someone can't speak English they can't live in this country!!! That is BS. I personally come from a legal immigrant family and even though my parents try their best, many ppl don't understand what they are trying to say. Their English isn't that great but that is more problem for them than you guys. They have to face difficulties every day. So next time you see somebody having hard time speaking English give them a break.
