Yes! Although it's not bad to keep it on the shelves, keeping it in the refrigerator will make it the texture of butter and therefore easier to spread on bread (if you like it that way!). It is also less messy to measure for a recipe. Just make sure it's not in a bottle with a small mouth, otherwise you'll have to let it "melt" at room temperature before you can use it!

I don't but there should not be a problem doing this except it makes the oil thicker in the container!

The warmth in your house will actually degrade the oils molecular structure, so it won't actually be as good as it could be once the seal is broken.

It won't ruin it, but no it's generally not a good idea to refigerate olive oil.It's best at room temperature.

keep it at room temp.... but out of the light... keep it somewhere it is dark and it will last longer....
UV rays are not good for oils
