If you know the flight numbers, you can call the airlines and get the information. But if you don't have the flight numbers, you will need to know the departure city and the arrival city and call the airlines to get the information. Or if you don't want to call, you can go to the airlines web site and look up the information yourself.

You can't look up who's on a flight; that information is confidential.
However, if you know the airline he's on, you can check their website for the flights they have from HK to UK, and hopefully meet the right one.

if you know his airline you can check which flights there are that day so you can probably work out which plane he's on ... or else phone the airport and tell them your story - you might get somewhere! you would probably need the airline again though

Get him to text you when he's leaving Hong Kong.
Tell him you want to imagine where he is in the world, or some other romantic nonsense. :)
Work out from that what time he arrives.

Well, you can ask what airline he's going with and check the schedule from that airline's website.

You should ask his friends. It seems strange that he is coming over and not telling you details.
