They are both very rewarding instruments to play, and this is totally up to you. Consider the following: The violin is the smallest and highest-pitched instrument in its family, and there are many world-famous violinists to be inspired by, playing all different genres of music. Because of the sheer number of violinists, there is usually a long waiting list to be part of an orchestra. The violin also requires delicate and coordinated movements. The viola is very similar to a violin, the main difference being that the viola is a bit bigger and a bit heavier than the violin. Because of this, the viola is deeper and mellower, giving a more cello-like sound. It reads the alto clef, so you will have to learn a clef that isn't widely used. There are very few violists, and many orchestras will find potential violists invaluable. Violas usually get easier parts, too. Hope this helps!

Some violins are larger than others. The best thing to do would be to bring yours to school (one time only) and compare the sizes. Play both. Which one has the better tone? Which one feels most comfortable to hold?
By comparing the two, you will find out which one you like best. Think of it as an adventure instead of a burden!!! How blessed you are to have a choice!!!

Well, I believe that even with three violins you'll be able to use and play with them. But the thing there is when you get very used to the one violin you are using you could actually play with that violin with the best sound you could produce in it thru your bowing techniques and the speed of your fingers. Just choose the best violin you could use with its best qualities for your best performances.

I feel that the after playing the violin, it kinda because a part of you. Your soul is expressed through your music. I own my own violin and so does my sister. I like the sound of my sisters more than mine, but i dont feel right until i am playing miine, i guess its up to the player.

you should try on another violin, you know, think about a position that someone love your playing and he/she will see you somewhere, giving you a violin to play then you ... . So if you are really a Violins, so try other violins.

sure they are different, but as along as you practice on both when you have a chance, theres no problem with it.
Its the same as playing different guitars, the fretboards are usually simillar enough that you can deal with the differences in body shape. I would guess the same would go for a violin..
Its just as easy to get used to two instruments as it is one, as long as you use them enough.
