i would say curl up in your loved ones arms... but i assume they arent there.... another option is just dont let yourself sleep untill its nighttime where you are... youll be dog tired but youll wake up on the right time schedule... i been travelling around the world for ages and it certainly works for me... timezones are a cow..
good luck

Before you go to bed, like about 30 minutes before, eat a small snack. I suggest 1-2 oz of turkey (triptophan - spelling approximate), a cracker or a cookie, or if you are concerned about your weight - a low glycemic carbohydrate and some nuts - almonds or peanuts are best. This is a recipe for some slow burning energy that will help level your blood sugar out. This will help with the jet lag too.
To slow down your thoughts, think of some pleasant task. My mom always packed her bags for her next vacation - instead of counting sheep. I plan on how I will spend the winnings when I win the big lottery.

Pretend you're sleeping, dream or thinking of something in your mind. Don't open your eyes and soon, you'll fall asleep.
That's how I fall asleep. Haha..

Go by what your body is telling you to do...sleep at whatever time your body tells you to (of course working this around or through your schedule).
For instance if you become sleepy at 2 or 3 in the afternoon and want to go to sleep do it if you can. Your body will readjust.
