Be a true friend,yourself. But the most important thing to remember is this: To thine own self , be true. Don't try to change to fit in with someone else, if it goes against your beliefs. Never sacrifice your character for the reward of the moment.

Observation
A true friend can be found when you act ugly with them and they still seem to ignore or dislike your behavior but it does not hinder them from you. A true friend is some one you can call at the most difficult moment for something (not habitual) and they are there. People become true friends with out even noticing and when there is no selfish goals. If you have someone truly in your corner, and have observed all of this. Hang On To Them!!!

All my friends are the people I chosen to have in my life. They are the people I am always going to be there for and who will always be there for me. What really makes it cool is we all know that we don't have to talk everyday, we just know that we are there for each other, support each other, opinions mean the world to each other. Good friendship is about understanding, trust, being non judgmental at the right moments, and then kicking them in the a** when they need it. It isn't all about common interests its about common souls and I truly I think that all my friends are my soul mates! That is what true friends are all about to me.

The only way to get a real friend is to be yourself so they know what they're getting into. Then, no matter what happens, they've chosen to stick by you and will follow through. Of course it helps if YOU are clean, honest and interesting in the eyes of others, so clean house if necessary.

Do they do as they say and say what they do? Do they stand up for you? Do they help you when you are down? Do they let you know when you are wrong and right? How do they treat you? Ask those questions and go from there. I would also watch their motives - what are they like when they are away from you.
I do this I take those people I know from my church and those in my church. Who are the people I want to be around?

Its hard, truly, because people aren't always what they seem to be... You could try hanging out with some people, and see what they believe in or what they stand for. When you really understand the person, you can determine whether you will mesh as friends.

Wild thats a million dollar question, I am not sure they are any true friends around any longer...seems that all want to stick it to you one way or another......so, i have decided that I will be my own true friend....

Some one that is always there for you, whether it be good or bad . a true friend wiil
always help you If you have a problem and help you through thick and thin.
