Call your local vet and get a pill that you can crush up and put in its food. It is called Atravet. It comes in different mgs. depending on the cats weight. Make sure you can monitor the cat so it doesn't wander off somewhere you can't find it as it is very vulnerable after the pill takes effect. In about an hour the pill will take effect and you should be able to put it in a cage and take it in to have it put down humanely. Please don't poison it. If another animal smells or eats the poison it to will die. Hope this helps.

Do you have Animal Control in your area? Try calling them, or even a local humane society, SPCA, or some other animal group. They may have a suggestion for you. One of them may even be willing to come out and place a live catch trap to catch the cat and remove it humanely.
Some rental stores may even have a trap that you can get fairly cheap.

Make sure you do not feed it anything posioned to try and kill it off. Chances are the sick cat will not be the only animal that gets ahold of whatever you put out.
You could also try calling the local Police Department or Vet and ask them for any advice on who else you can call.

Good Luck!

The Humane Society or vet may have a live-catch trap. You place food in the trap-- the cat goes in and the door closes. Then you could carry cat to Vet.

Call animal control or try to catch it in a live trap ( a cage that won't hurt it) and take it. Obviously you know not to try to put any poison in its food as there are other animals who might ingest it. If it's eating, there's a good chance that it isn't contagious, just probably has tapeworms from flea infestations. At any rate, you should call animal control or a rescue group.

Call animal control. If you poison a cat and it dies, it might get eaten by other animals, like vultures, etc. then those animals will probably die too. Plus, you really just can't kill an animal "humanely" by poisoning it...it suffers before it dies. These days, the wrong person will just say coz you did it just to kill it. As long it doesn't bother you or anyone else, leave it to animal control. If it is a very sick cat, it will just keep to itself.

What a vile and sick question! get a cat trap (you can borrow one from an animal shelter) and take it to the vet. You should not even be thinking of killing a cat or any animal without getting it to the vet and letting them deal with it.

I would put the food in the bathroom and wait for it to go in and close the door. Then call animal control and let them know it appears to be diseased and they will come and get it and put it down the right way. Sorry you have to do that. It will be better off though.

Call the humane society and get a Have A Heart trap where it can be captured and taken in for humane euthanasia. There is no humane poison you can slip in the food.
