my boyfriend Scott is really sweat ,but his mom is a recovering alcoholic and i matched well i was having diner with his family about how we drink when we go on vacation and they all stared at me and kinda scolled me it was one mistack now they all hate me i think

Well, may be it's because it's a sensitive subject, since she's recovering. Did u know b 4 u started talking about it? if u did then I can understand them being upset, but if u didn't know they shold have just told u it's something they rather not talk about and looked the other way since u didn't know she was recovering.
I'm sure u have said many times that ur sorry, and if after u saying it then theres really nothing more u can do. It's up to them if they want to forgive and forget. But in the meantime all u can do is just go about ur business and let them stew until they growup and realize that like they're mom, u make mistakes too and u really didn't know u were talking about something that was not to be talked about around the family.
P.S.
We all make mistakes because we're humans and it's apart of life, if they can forgive and work with they're mom because she's a recovering alcoholic, then u would think that they learn that they should forgive others who make mistakes too

Number one, they shouldn't be mad at you for making a comment about drinking. Just because she is a recovering alcoholic should mean the words cannot be spoken. You see ads in the paper, on TV, and everywhere else about alcohol. If you feel the need to do something, you should go to the Mom and explain that you didn't mean to bring up that subject especially if it bothered her. You owe no one else an explanation. They(alcoholics) have to face that they will hear or see things about alcohol from time to time. That is why it is so hard to be recovering. You did nothing wrong, but now that you know, just try to be a little more sensitive.

Woah...thats a bit hectic...i recon you should talk to scott first before you make any assumtions!!Chances are,things are great...if scott sais that there is a problem,maybe you should try writing a letter to them...as a family,apologising...and im sure it would mean the world to scott if he knew how you also wish to suppourt his mom.
