Do you think she's so bitter and condescending when interviewed because she looks like a horse? Do you believe she's afraid she'll have hay and oats in her dressing room at any given studio?

The most entertaining part about asking this question is viewing the conservatives' ever present lack of sense of humor. A group of droll, boring people with the imagination of a sock.

C.U.N.T. It stands for Coulter Utters New Trash. The acronym, and the word itself, never fit anyone better than right-wing hate-monger Ann Coulter. But this week our favorite C.U.N.T sunk to new incendiary levels of indecency with her venomous attack on a group of 9/11 widows who happen to be Democrats and have fought in Washington to better understand America's failure to protect its citizens that fateful day. Hard to imagine a human being uttering such mean-spirited, insensitive words, but consider these direct quotes from her new book "Godless: The Church of Liberalism," which she repeated ad nauseum on network and cable TV:

"These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzis. I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' death so much."

"These self-obsessed women seemed genuinely unaware that 9/11 was an attack on our nation and acted as if the terrorist attacks happened only to them. The whole nation was wounded, all our lives reduced. But they believed the entire country was required to marinate in their exquisite personal agony."

"And by the way, how do we know their husbands weren't planning to divorce these harpies? Now that their shelf life is dwindling, they'd better hurry up and appear in Playboy."

These vicious criticisms are aimed at four New Jersey women whom she dubbed "The Witches of East Brunswick," after the town where two of them live. Her comments are cruel and beyond comprehension. Her behavior is unconscionable. These women's husbands burned alive, and in their ensuing public grief they were left to raise children alone under the most trying circumstances. If anyone is Godless, Ann, its you.

But we've come to expect such reprehensible behavior from Coulter. The bigger crime here is how she continues to be enabled and supported by the very same right wing morality police that tells us who we can sleep with, who we can marry, what it means to be patriotic and whether or not we are people of faith. They hide behind religion and family values to attack, condemn and vilify those on the left who don't share their extremist views. But when someone like Coulter comes along who pisses on 9/11 widows and dishonors the dead purely for sensationalistic self-serving political purposes, they rally behind her and exploit her madness for their own self-interests.

It's very nice that on his final day in Congress, that poster-boy for polarization and corruption, former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, reminisced "about the 'good old days' of political harmony and across- the-aisle-camaraderie." I can assure you though that in those good old days, Republicans would never have tolerated such an outrageous, hateful C.U.N.T. as Ann Coulter.

She probably just needs to take a really long puff on some really good stuff- if you know what I mean. It would most likely chill her out and open her mind just a bit.

The ones who are bitter are those who hate her because she condemns those who should be condemned.
