Ya I know it's your name & sometimes it's my name & sometimes he can be your neighbour!! What confused? I just mean to say that in this world who ever does good things & have good thoughts becomes GOD for that moment. Even the GOD is Hot. I just tell my friends that we are all living God's, it's so that we forget that & fight over the religious things. GOD'S FIGHTING EACH OTHER. So now tell me what is god's name?!

Jesus taught us we should call God, "Father". We should do the same.
The first book of the Bible called Genesis, gives us the name of The Supreme Being as "God", often written as Lord or LORD.
In the book of Exodus 3:14, God calls Himself, "I AM THAT I AM".
In the Hebrew language there are no vowels only accent points. This pronouncement of God's name is compacted down to four(4) letters, referred to as the Tetragrammaton. They are:
Yod He Vau He. Or YHVH, JHWH ,JHVH and other combinations.
In the 16th Century one Petrus Galantinus the confessor to Pope Leo X. Came up with the name "Jehovah". The Pope liked this name so much he directed that all the reference toward God in the Bible be called Jehovah.
There is a big problem here. First, there is no 'J' in the Hebrew alphabet. Second, you could take the Tetragrammaton (4 letters)
and place any of the English vowels between these 4 letters, and come up with at least 150 pronounceable names! The question is? Which of those 150 is the right name?
To avoid problems of pronunciation. Jesus again taught us we should and properly so. Call God. FATHER

If you mean the Judeo-Christian God, the Hebrew consonants in God's name are YHVH. In the Torah, this is often refered to as Hashem - "The Name". YHVH is where Jehovah comes from, also Yahweh. In biblical Hebrew there were no vowel pointers, so you just had to know what the vowels were by being familiar with the spoken word. Only the Jewish priesthood knew how to pronounce the name of God, and they would only say it once a year. A possible hint: The Greek version of YHVH, I believe, was IAO - so maybe inserting those vowels into the Hebrew consonants would do the trick? That's pure speculation, however.

I think God likes to be known as Dave, and on the weekends he goes by the name of Shirley!
Seriously though, If God really exists and I think he does then I don't think he cares what name he's given. All religions have a different name for him. The important thing is that people do good things.

The Glorious Qur’an says in chapter 17 verse 110
"Say: ‘Call upon Allah, or call upon Rahman: by whatever name ye call upon Him, (it is well): for to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names....‘"
[Al-Qur’an 17:110]
You can call Allah by any name, but it should be a beautiful name, it should not conjure up a mental picture, and should have qualities that only Allah possesses. For example, Most gracious, Most merciful.
"The most beautiful names belong to God: so call on Him by them;..." (7:180)
Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names. (Qur'an 20:8)
"Say: He is Allah, The One and Only. "Allah, the Eternal, Absolute.
"He begets not, nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him."
[Al-Qur’an 112:1-4]
