Every now and then, a chip or two that's been overcooked can be found in a bag. Do you have an opinion on the flavor of a burnt chip?

I love the burnt chip. It's the best one in the bag. I'd buy them.

I really like Frito-Lay, but I really dislike burnt chips. So, no I would not buy a bag of burnt chips, not even once to "give it a try". What I don't like is how a burnt chip leaves an oily stale after taste, and sometimes they are so hard that I can hardly bite through them.

I was just google searching to see if there "quality control" castoff Fritos being sold (how I found this page). I'd love to buy a bag - every once in a while you get a "golden nugget" in a bag of Fritos - Fantastic!!! Wish they were for sale somewhere...

We have those in our area....they are called "dark russet" but basically, they taste like those burnt ones. Cape Cod Potato Chip Company makes 'em.

The reason I found this discussion is I would like to buy a bag for my wife, she searches the bag for over cooked chips

i thing that there quality control just don't do there job i guess it just have to taste good not look good for us to buy it but burnt chips are a pain and they taste nasty well answering your question no i wouldn't buy them give them to someone else or toss them away and write them off as a lost.
