yep blah is right to a certain extent. but you can just go upto a guy you like and ask him out but when you do just act and look a little shy when you do it. this as a guy is more likely to get a response than an aggresive approach like looking him in the eyes and saying you've pulled (as the old line goes).
it will also help if you are dressed classic stylish, either smart trousers or a skirt finishing below your knees and a smart top that is not too revealing.
a guy sees a girll in revealing clothing and he thinks that girls easy shed sleep with anyone. that may or may not be true. but it's a turn off to me as far as looking for a relationship goes. ok i admit a scantily clad girl is a turn on in the short term but not for a long term relationship.

If he is interested in you that is all you have to do. If he is shy it may take a while just keep it up.

well u can be straight forward with ur feelings towards him or friendly flirting may help him get the clue...but remember trying to show off ur body n talking dirty is slutty and callin him every hr or everyday and saying things to get him to like u is being desperate... good luck

Try to be attentive to him and answer his questions or maybe ask him questions about himself to let him know you are interested in his opinion. I think he will realize you are interested in him.

it is all about how you use yur hands and voice. gesture, not aggresively, when you talk fliritngly. also, gently touch him. if he gives the same response, it means you might hit it off. remeber never to cross your arms becuase it looks like you are uninterested.

its about how you approach him and the wayyou say it start out mostly by being honest with you self and not to agresive
