There is no flu pandemic affecting the UK. Stocking up on dried foods would also not help anyway, for although you may manage to avoid some exposure by avoiding the supermarket the lack of quality of the powdered food would render your immune system less able to cope with anything you may come in contact with.

Don't mean to be flippant but there is not a flu pandemic affecting the UK at this time!
If you are referring to Bird flu I think it is important not to blow it out of proportion as only a really tiny percent of people in affected areas have died.
Also if everyone panic buys food then that will cause more of a problem than the 'flu pandemic'

Go to Basic Essentials.com.. It is a WHOLE magazine(catalogue) FULL of packaged food . Vacuum packed for camping, or just what you are talking about. May God be with you during the flu pandemic situation in the UK.

It is not powdered food, just dried food.

There is no bird flu pandemic, sort yourself out, there's a life there to be had, go, enjoy and worry about it in the winter. Tesco do on-line ordering and deliveries. Get yourself a flu jab and the pneumonia jab and make your piece with God, he may be more likely to spare you. I really dont think you need to worry, at its height, we were never in any real danger.

Stop panicking and scaring others like this... just get on with life and ignore the doom and gloom mongers in your midst.

If there ever is a pandemic, or a serious disaster like a plague, nothing that you do will prevent it... you just keep fit and healthy and get lots of exercise and fresh air... stay positive... get on with life... stop looking for disaster... it is a positive outlook that will help you fight infection!

You won't need it - no flu pandemic, and once your cupboard is full of this sort of stuff you are likely to die of boredom anyway!

Em, are you a bit mad?! I think you should go and see a shrink! Otherwise get yer butt to Tesco or Sainsburys or something and do your shopping without worrying, life is too short. You could get killed by a bus tomorrow! Or a nuclear bomb!

seems your a little overly concerned, maybe you need to talk to your g.p.
if you really need to stock up tinned food lasts for years as well as dried food.
rice and pasta packets will last a long time too. you can get these from regular supermarkets.
please talk to your g.p. your worrying will make you ill, if not a professional talk to a good friend who will help you.
