You do not want to, sail out Puerto Rico, we did last year a week before Christmas and got a great deal threw Travelocity. but the people down there were very rude and pushy. they pretended not to know English. over half the ship was from the island. my wife and aunt have taken many cruises, but not from puerto Rico, and they also did not enjoy it, they said it was not as bad leaving the state's. but this was my first cruise and my last from now on i will be going back to sandal's in Jamaica they speak English and treated there guest like kings and queens. and the people were not rude. poor but very friendly. in closing i would not sail out of San Juan. just my opinion, if you decide to go check travelocity they seem to have the best rate's by far

Christmas will be the most expensive time to do any cruise, anywhere, except maybe Alaska (and I don't know if they do them then). I think off season for the Carribean is the late summer and fall. A good time to do any vacation would be between Thanksgiving and Christmas, not many people travelling the first 1/2 of December, and many resorts give deals. Try travelocity or orbitz for travel deals. Good luck!

You should try to either call TRAVEL WITH STEPHEN or go to their website. They offer cruises that leave from San Juan, Puerto Rico; they sail year-round. They're competitively priced, as well.

Look at any travel site or go to the specific cruise line site that you want to sail on. Carribbean is more expensive in the winter around the holidays.
