Actually, this question is perfectly logical. We are ALL born atheists--that is, as infants, we have no belief in God. That is the default condition for all of humanity. Belief in God/gods has to be taught, and whatever you are taught is what you believe because you don't know any better. If you live in India, you'll become a Hindu; in Saudi Arabia, you'll become a Muslim; in the USA, you'll probably be a Christian because that's the main religion here. It has nothing to do with God "choosing" you, it's all about you being indoctrinated by your culture. So, later in life you realize how stupid it is to believe in a cosmic Santa Claus or an invisible skydaddy, and you abandon all belief in any religion because none of them make any sense. Thus, you have become an atheist all over again--you're a born-again atheist!

I started life as a christian and became an atheist in high school.
I went to a bachelor's party a couple of years ago and most of the guys were atheists. Its really not that hard, and I live in the bible belt. Atheism is actually the fastest growing belief system in the world.

alright well first off you gotta go to vegas. Like in family guy when they wanted a quickie barmitzvah, then run up and down the street and yell for rev. Reggie jackson. When he or a police officer finally arrive go down to the 7/11 and grab a slurpie. congratulations. Mission complete. You are now born again atheist.

For me Atheism was a realization that all things in my life (good and bad) were a direct result of my actions. That though the universe has a natural chaotic order (I reallyenjoy the paradox of that) life is still a cause-effect based existance.
Therefore, to totally answer your question.
Take the attidtude "Lord Please Save me from your followers."
Don't give God/Jesus a second though, and make sure your actions are derived from your personal values, not those dictated by a restrictive self-limiting religious structure used to control the ignorant masses.
Take responsibility for your choices, and live life.
P.S.
Rincing your mouth with Vodka get's the nasty after-taste of religious idiocy previously spouted out real fast.

Are you really sure you want to become an atheist.
Are you sure that it's God that you don't believe in, or is it the silly little judgmental idea of god you were given as a child that you can no longer believe in? There is a difference you know.

Wade into a a river of Coca-Cola for your Baptism. Get a Festivus (for the "rest of us") pole for your holidays. Think clearly. Listen to John Lennon's beautiful song "IMAGINE" every morning. Remember every evening under Nature's wondrous stars and gentle breezes that more people have died under the banner of religion than for any other inane reason under creation. Watch the "Life of Brian" every quarter (4 times a year), 3 times a year during leap years.
These are the rules. They cannot, however, be written or copied, for fear the church of atheism might become a religion, and then people would have to die for it. (HORRORS)!

You are being contradictory. Typical! The "Born-Again " experience opposes the beliefs of atheism! Why do atheists steal Biblical terminology, and yet say they are atheists? HHmmmmmm...

I think you already are...I do not see God anywhere in your writings and your writings are the only things I know about you.
BTW, to be atheist, you do not need jim_darwin..he thinks he is god...but he looks like he really is from the ape
Jesys Christ died for YOU on the cross, and I can see why he had to suffer so much...and this is what He gets back from you...I'd be scared if I was you...but if you do not believe the Bible, what can we expect??
