I am in the same situation and I even feel the same as you. I haven't been alone for as long as you have but long enough. I don't wanna grow old alone either. Hope you find the man you want soon, but you will find him. You sound sweet enough and honest thats for sure. (smile)

OK...the "good guys" ARE at bars, some of which are very nice social places to make friends. OR...try the singles groups that just about every church has. Volunteer for charity events; join a bowling team. I never did the bar scene either, but I love to dance and I tolerated the rest until I met alot of nice people...including my husband. GET OUT and don't act needy and desperate. you'll be surprised how many people will be attracted to a self confident woman...including women; do not disregard women as friends because they may have male friends to introduce you to...it's called networking. You won't meet anyone sitting at home. OH...and update our "do", get some make-up tips and fashion tips too. I mean, you want to attract men not cover everything up. THEN...you'll have to be in a mind frame that you're not really "looking"...but "ready" if someone should come along. Give um a chance, honey, and all will be well when you least expect it.

Well you do the computer scene, alot of people meet people this way, just always keep personal safety first. Not dating is a bummer but its also a good time for growth and learning to be comfortable with yourself. Life changes is a matter fo seconds, we meet someone-the right someone. Threes a tornado, we hit the lottery. So 5 years doesn't seem long but remember in seconds and can all turn around for you. In the mean time learn more about your self, and you might just end up with Mr. Right sooner than you think............

Because your sitting at home online typing this question instead of getting out there if you keep questioning yourself you will drown in the confusion of why you havent dated so stop questioning yourself leave that up to the men, be unpredictable its a turn off for men if your predictable because they always know what to expect but if they dont then they are immediatley intruiged and all the "good guys"arent as great as they seem and most of the ones who are are already taken because their woman isnt sitting online questioning herself!I encourage you to get out there do some speed dating thats fun and theyre are older and younger guys that participate too but what i dont recomend is online dating because most of the time the men arent as they appear but sometimes they are(My aunt met a guy online theyve been seeing each other for a year and hes a rich lawyer) so only do online dating if you are despreate but other then that i just recomend you get out there and DO THE DAMN THING!Good Luck just be confident

One thing you must do. Be available no matter where you are.
You never know where you may find that guy. The Internet is not bad but you have to be careful.
Book store should be great...as well as most other places men are...but you have to let them know it is okay to approach you.
Most men have a problem with that first contact. Fear of rejection is far more widespread than you may know. At your age....I can still remember that I think....this should be less of a problem but not so sure it is.
I met my current wife through a dating service on-line...dreammates.com
I have not checked on them in a long time but there are a lot of those available. EHarmony.com may work.
Just understand this.....there are a lot more opportunities for you to meet men than men have to meet women. Why because all you have to do is smile and you will meet him.

You're on the right path...Try yahoo personals...it does work! You must be very careful though. Also, love seems to find you when you've given up on a 'soul mate'.
