Mixing religious beliefs with science is the same as mixing one religion with the other. They contradict marvelously.

If Adam and Eve were the first humans created then yes they would be the first civilization on earth.
And since the world was created by God, and human life was created by God then religion and science are mixed from the begining.
Genisis 1:1 - In the begining God created the heavens and the earth.
Hope that answers your question. Have a blessed day.

To answer thi question you must determine which religion you want to follow. One that claims that we evolved from rocks. Or one that tells that we are individually created. I choose the latter. Since God is capable of creating everything he is also capable of creating everything complete. Otherwise he created Adam and Eve as adults and not children. Likewise with the earth. It was cool and inhabital by the sixth day. Please read genisis chapter 1 in the Holly Bible. Fossils are interesting. I suspect much less time than what we have been taught. I personally have a chunk of petrified wood (root) that when I found it, it was attached to a living tree. I found this in the Cascade mountians.

Hi Jane,
I dont know whether Adam or Eve existed or not. But you see that's one of the stories that the chirtsians believe about the starting of the mankind.
Every Religion has a different story of how the mankind began. Being a Hindu, we have been told that it were Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu who created the world and the mankind. All the hindus are called the sons and daughters of Brahma.
Hinduism divides the time into gour Yugas- Satya Yuga, Tretha Yuga, Dwapar Yuga and Kal Yuga in the order of their beginning.
We're living in the Kal Yuga.
And if you ever heard of the epics called Ramayana and Mahabharata, Let me tell you that the legends took place in the Tretha Yuga and Dwapar Yuga respectively.
and NASA (the US National Space Agency) verifies the fact that Ramayana as believed to be a legend that was true.
here are the findings:
"WASHINGTON (PTI) -- The NASA Shuttle has imaged a mysterious ancient bridge between India and Sri Lanka, as mentioned in the Ramayana.
The evidence, say experts matter-of-factly, is in the Digital Image Collection.
The recently discovered bridge, currently named as Adam's Bridge and made of a chain of shoals, 30 km long, in the Palk Straits between India and Sri Lanka, reveals a mystery behind it.
The bridge's unique curvature and composition by age reveals that it is man-made. Legend as well as Archeological studies reveal that the first signs of human inhabitants in Sri Lanka date back to the primitive age, about 1,750,000 years ago and the bridge's age is also almost equivalent."

Space images taken by NASA reveal a mysterious ancient bridge in the Palk Strait between India and Sri Lanka. The recently discovered bridge currently named as Adam&laqno;s Bridge is made of chain of shoals, c.18 mi (30 km) long.
The bridge&laqno;s unique curvature and composition by age reveals that it is man made. The legends as well as Archeological studies reveal that the first signs of human inhabitants in Sri Lanka date back to the a primitive age, about 1,750,000 years ago and the bridge&laqno;s age is also almost equivalent.
This information is a crucial aspect for an insight into the mysterious legend called Ramayana, which was supposed to have taken place in tredha yuga (more than 1,700,000 years ago).
In this epic, there is a mentioning about a bridge, which was built between Rameshwaram (India) and Srilankan coast under the supervision of a dynamic and invincible figure called Rama who is supposed to be the incarnation of the supreme.
This information may not be of much importance to the archeologists who are interested in exploring the origins of man, but it is sure to open the spiritual gates of the people of the world to have come to know an ancient history linked to the Indian mythology."
Now what would you say about it, dear??

I don't think we can take the first "half" of Genisis Literally. How could Cain, the son of the only two people, be afraid of being killed by other people in other lands and also father others if he was one of three people? Until Abraham, it's biblical "prehistory"
