I'm guessing you're feeling afraid (guilty) that you met a man on line, probably after your parents told you to be careful. Now you know why. Are you hurt?

Well, emotionally you are hurt. Your head is reeling from being led into this by this exhibitionist. There are other answers that suggest some good ideas for never meeting this guy again. Follow them.

The guilt is harder to deal with, because it is an effect of culture and upbringing. I'm afraid my knowledge of traditional Indian (sub-continent?) family ways are very sketchy. My own parents were immigrants from Europe to the US. Under the same circumstances I think they would have blamed me. "What did you do? Why did you do it? Never, ever go on-line again..."

My guess is you're playing some of these lines out in your head right now. The Internet has been a place where voyeur and exhibitionist meet regularly, nearly since it started. Parents regularly warn their children of wandering into chat rooms, making friends with strangers and giving them personal information.

And, now you know why.

At 17 you're old enough that I think this won't damage you forever. You're scared. But that guy won't come after you. It's over. Next time you'll know more and be ready to ask questions when someone asks you to meet in a chat room, over a cup of coffee or... well, anything. You've grown from this. Feel good that you've survived. That was an easy learning experience.

Now, about your parents. This is coming from a parent of a 17 year old girl who is always on line, tell them... in about five years! If you're not hurt, if you don't need counselling, and you are from a traditional Indian home, it can wait till they recognize you as an adult.

Then laugh about it. A little bit of time will make this seem much less serious and much more humorous.

Report the dude now!!! He was being a jack*** and had no right to talk nasty or show you what he did.

But welcome to the internet. That's just how immature most people are these days.

I'm very sorry that you have had to go through that though. You're not the only one. Just report him if you can. It'll save others a lot of mortification.

Hope one of us helped somehow!!

You are not alone KID, well showing stranger yourself is not a good idea. it would happen many times so be careful from now on..there are lots of good people around..
these kinds of people are preying for innocent young teens like you, stay away from chat room that is not suitable at your age..
yahoo answerer is fun and more matured ppl around here..
as well as nice teens.
Don't feel guilty about it... it would control you and keeps you in fear... ask someone to guide you in much safer chat rooms for kids..

welcome!

Avoid this kind of chatters. Stick to a standard, they should be decent and respectful people online.
