I'm going to Paris in early July, and for a couple of the days I'm there the forecast predicts rain. Are there any fun activities that you can think of, **BESIDES** going to museums and the bigger department stores?? Thanks!

Why miss out on the chance to walk the streets of Paris "sous la pluie"? It's fun! The last time we walked all day in the rain in Paris, I loved it. We went to Sacre Coeur, not so much to see the cathedral but to walk up the street behind it where the street artists display and sell their work. We had a charcoal portrait of our daughter done that day, took about 45 minutes, while we chatted under our umbrellas. It costs me 40 Euros for the portrait which turned out very nice, and is now beautifully framed and hanging in my home. Under the signature of the artist, it says Sept 10, 2005 Paris, and everytime I look at it, I remember that lovely day in Paris when we walked "under the rain".
In a pretty cafe, take the time for a mini cup of coffee and a crepe, sit and watch all those other people who also love to walk in the rain. Who knows? I may be one of them.

You could visit a different city in France for the day, and see things there, although it's likely it may be raining there too.

Yes, stay inside the place you're staying at and play skeletons out with your travel buddies and if none of you like it then you put your clothes on and go out :) it's fun!
