That's a hard question for me to answer.

I would guess 80% of parents do 20% don't. 15% hide the fact that they don't and pass unnoticed.

All people have the capability to love. That's a fact. People that take projects, work, or material possesions to seriously loose focus on love. Idealistically all people should seek a life with the proper balance.

No. It's programmed into us that they should, but a lot of parents just don't feel the need. That's why a lot of kids turn out the way they do, and parents just blame their friends, or society, or something like that. If they don't love their child, then they should atleast leave them alone, and stop saying "I love u" when the words are meaningless, or if they're not sure how to love a child that didn't turn out the way they wanted, and they've given up...then say that...they shouldnt treat the kid miserably either...it's the parents fault for having the kid, so why treat the kid like they did something wrong? I believe having a kid and making it want to escape this world, is worse than just having an abortion.

Sadly - no. However, I'm sure every parent thinks they love their child. Unfortunately, some parents have not had the best role model to become great parents themselves and this is how child abuse/battery/neglect continue seemingly unabated in the world today. We should all make a concerted effort to help in any way we can to stamp out the problem of abuse and neglect of children everywhere.

Of course they do or at least they should of course some parents r messed up on drugs & things & don't really care but every GOOD parent loves their child they r their first obligitations!

No. Look at all the families where the father abandons their child(ren), and the mother has to raise them on their own. I don't see how that can be called every parent loving their child.

Yes! A parent loves a child unconditionally. However parents mess up sometimes and I think disappointment in themselves kinda makes them hit out at their kids.

why would you ask a question like that? what happen that made you question the love of your parent.... that's a serious question-- I don't know how old you are or if this is the first time you have wonder if your parent or parents love you-- parents are not perfect god knows and our children did not come with a hand book-- I remember when I had my son - 2 days later they discharge you from the hospital and send you home with this little guy I kept thinking surely they are not going to just let us walk out of here with this baby -but they did he is now 25 years old an LSU grad went on to Tulane - just got married to his high school sweetheart-- has a great business based in new orleans - huck-a -buck.com -- and wrote me a letter saying that he attribute most of who he is to me -- yet i havent spoken to him in over 3 years -- now that im thinking about it im not the one to answer your question -- im sorry if you feel unloved by your parents -- b/c it hurts like hell to feel unloved by your child

WELL NO ...SOME PARENTS ARE SELECTIVE THEY SPOIL THE CHILD THAT THEY CAN HAVE RELATIONSHIP WITH.

A PARENT THAT HAS MORE IN COMMON WITH THE CHILD GETS MORE ATTENTION.

PARENT LOVE THEIR CHILDREN DIFFERENTLY AND CHILDREN LOVE THEIR PARENTS DIFFERENTLY ONE MIGHT PREFER DAD OVER MOM.

NOT EVERY PARENTS LOVE THEIR CHILDREN ESPECIALLY IF THE CHILD IS ANNOYING!! THEN THEY CAN MOVE OUT!!

Parents can love their child, without liking them. Just as you can love your parents without liking them as a person. Unfortunately, some parents don't love their children at all.
