Is it true that if a woman works out with heavier weights that she will bulk up and if she uses light weights she will tone?

Most women do not have enough testosterone in their systems to generate the kind of bulk that men do. You will do no benefit to your strength if you don't keep increasing the weight you are lifting as you body grows accustomed to it. Small increments - 1-5 lbs - is fine.. you want to find a weight that you can lift with reasonably good form for up to 12 reps. If you can do more than that, you are lifting too light of a weight to really get any benefit and you are just wasting your time.

I don't know for sure, but it sounds plausible. Working with a lighter weight would be aerobic, which would tone. Working with a heavier weight would be cardio, which would bulk.

Yes it is coz the internal organs of a woman are weaker.

duh bc the heavier weight will make your muscles work more...hense bigger muscles...hense bulkk up.. lighter weight do more toning and just getting the muscle active.
