Probably but these days I am cutting up cards rather than acquiring new ones. I like not having debt.

As far as my 30 years of banking experiences go, WaMu seems to be the most customer friendly of any of the big banks and here in Tx, friendlier than most of the little ones too.

Read the small print on the paperwork you got. That's your head's up as to what happens if you're late. Some companies, in addition to piling on fees, will jack your rates to the max after only 1 late payment!

The small print is a big deal no matter which company you deal with.

They are ALL awesome as long as you pay and never have a problem, its how they resolve problems that separates one bank from the next.

Yes.

I have been a Washington Mutual customer for about 2 years. A few months ago, I got a series of "You are pre-approved" letters from various banks. Most got shredded. The one that I opened from Washington Mutual offered 0% finance charge on balance transfers for 1 year.

I applied and transferred the balances of a high interest Master Card (which I closed) and a department store credit card (which I closed).

The Washington Mutual card, which has a high limit, has been set aside, and I am paying off the balance interest free.
