It is a picture that I have of my son Lane, in this picture you cannot see his face nor mine, but his hand on my hand.Lane was a micro preemie, he weighed 1 lb10 ounces at birth.Lane lived only six weeks. My husband took this picture of Lane`s hand on mine while we were in the neonatal unit visiting with him, well, I only ever left the hospital for shift change, I pratically lived there for 6 weeks.
There is nothing on this earth I would take for that picture of his tiny hand on mine.....it reminds me that my baby and I have a bond that death itself cannot break. It also makes me realize , every time I look at it how good GOD is , for here was this tiny baby....only 24 weeks along in gestation, and GOD has given us the knowledge to help these tiny babies to live outside of their mother. It also reminds me of the bond between mother and child.

There is a very well known photograph by Dorothea Lange that really touches me. Its called "Migrant Mother." It really says a lot about the mother and the time period, the look on her face says a lot about her well being and mental state. You can almost read her mind. The woman in the photograph is named Florence Owens Thompson, and Dorothea Lange documented her family for a while in the 30's. The whole series belongs to the Farm Security Administration and it is amazing- but this one photograph sums it all up.

One I saw 5-6 years back in news paper. One poor boy aged around 13 years, crying with his hands in head seeing his mother's body lying in road with blood. Mother came for voting local body election in UP state. She was killed during the election violence. I cut this photo and pasted in my collection album. I have good faith in our democracy system, and even proud of biggest democracy country in the world. How we are maintaining that. By election i.e VOTING. That Mother went to polling booth to keep our democracy live. What happens to her? Very worst situation and reason for taking the live of the mother. Even if I think now I am very emotional. Should we relay proud of the democracy? Are all Indians interested in maintaining the pride? I am not able to write more...very emotional photo I am having.

I think it is the picture I saw recently of a father with his young daughter out in the range branding cattle together. So very powerful to see the total trust in her being and his total look of love while branding the bejeebers out of the calves.
