I agree with what others are saying, but maybe she's doing this BECAUSE she loves you and doesn't want to feel as though she's using you as a rebound. By the sounds of it, she is a very wise girl and has her head screwed on.

You know sometimes bitterness if much harder to overcome than love. Perhaps she is feeling very bitter and therefore angry towards your mate and her ex and has therefore made the sensible decision to wait until all these feeling have gone and her head in cleared. However, I wouldn't wait around for this woman. By the time her ex is totally out of her head, she could have find someone else and so could you. Don't give up obn dating until this woman is yours, as you might miss out and you may be sadly disappointed. I'm not saying this woman won't come around to the idea of being with you in time, I am just a great believer in that love prevails everything and if you were meant to be together, her feelings for ex (whether love or whatever else) would have diminished and she would be with you as soon as you declared your feelings for her.

I think she just needs time to sort things out. She doesn't want to be unfair to you by still being a little side tracked because of her emotions. It doens't matter how crappy a guy treats you if you once had feelings for that guy it takes time to work it out in your own head. Some people bounce back more quickly. Just give it time and she will work it out :)

It's called fear of falling and being hurt. Once bitten twice shy...I know-corny. But it's true. Remember that once hurt, it takes time for a wound to heal, scab over if you will. Once the wound heals we tend to move on. Give her time if your really into her or else move on. The last thing she needs is more relationship termoil while trying to get past her last issues. That could be a bad thing for both of you.

unfortunately, when she sees you she thinks of your m8. She need to get him out of her head before she can concentrate on you. it's a girl thing and i don't really get it either.

If she hates him, then she still has strong feelings for him. She is right in saying she needs to deal with that first. The choice is now yours. Do you want to wait for her or find something better to do with your time

Well I personally believe that that is a reasonable request. I would chill and wait to see how things ride out.

It sounds like one very confused little girl. You're better off to be her friend but not get either one of you emotionally hooked to each other.
