A topic on yahoo, Dating: Tips & Advice, the author states:
"Ketchup On Eggs. If one of those first dates is brunch, and your new friend reaches for the ketchup to put on her eggs, RED FLAG! I realize this may seem arbitrary or fussy. Or perhaps you think I'm making a class judgment here. Well, maybe I am! What's wrong with that? All I know is: Nothing good ever comes of ketchup on eggs. And it's really gross." I don't think this person should be writing advice columns based on his preferences of food. Can someone please explain to me why this is a red flag?

This guy is totally silly. Your take on his "advice" column is right on target. There is nothing about food preferences which shows a person's "class", which in this case the "writer" is stating it puts that woman in a lower "class" which should be a "red flag". This is just plain idiotic and you hit the nail on the head in your statement that he should not be giving advice, dating or otherwise. I think his column is a "red flag" to any woman reader that he is anal, judgmental, and just plain kooky. Weird guy. Many people enjoy ketchup on eggs. Like you said it is simple a food preference and has nothing to do with the character or "class" of the individual.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I wonder what his name is though, and I also wonder how Yahoo! Personals could allow his to write about dating on their dating site. How odd, and very misguiding for those silly enough to actually think this is true. I wonder if he is teasing or attempting to be a stand up comedian. LOL

That's ridiculous. I'm an educated individual with a college degree and I eat ketchup on eggs. That tells you nothing about a person, beyond a predilection for ketchup.

It does tell you something about the person saying it. If something that trivial is a "red flag" to any idiotic person, I think most of us ketchup-on-eggs people would be better off without 'em. ;)

That is not a real column it is sort of like a blog written by a young man... I have read it before. There is no reason to read or believe any of it, the only thing I would worry about is eating brunch for a first date... but I could care less how someone I like eats their eggs. Best wishes

Referenced a "class judgment" as to say ketchup on eggs is ok...if you live in a trailor park. I don't get it?? Sounds pretentious and well downright petty to make judgements based on condiments. Good luck finding a happy relationship if you nitpick the obscure.

When one possesses understanding, its easy to see. Daniel 12:4--certain truths were hidden until these last days and then became abundant. Meaning every religion claiming to be Christian had error teachings in place for centuries. The faithful slave would give food( spiritual) at the proper time( when God willed a truth to be known) -- so until God willed a truth to be known not even the faithful slave would know that truth, thus error teachings until the proper time. so here is bottom line reality----- the ones making the corrections to error teachings in front of the hearts of the ridiculers, will prove to be right in the end.

only that the writer does not like it. and if it grosses them out, they should not date this person because the person most likely always uses ketchup one their eggs.

Someone who would put ketchup on his eggs is an immature person. Thus, a red flag because there would be immaturity in other facets of his character.
