Pure liquor, no ice, no syrup no soda, no lil' pink umbrella, just booze. Provided you know the name of the liquor.

Don't ask for a mixed drink straight, or you'll probably get the "I think you've had enough" joke.

Straight is a shot of liquor, on the rocks is a shot over ice.... I always get Southern Comfort on the rocks. Best wishes

it's a drink (alcoholic) without ice added.
or, in other words, a drink NOT "on the rocks".

If you order a straight whiskey you get straight whiskey without a mix in it.

If you order a straight beer you get only beer with out a side car
