My eye is almost swolen shut and I didn't feel good yesterday (tummy ache, head ahce, slight dizzyness, a little out of breath)
I had a tepreture of 101.7 decrees.
This morning my eye was even more swolen, but my temreture was gone and so was the swelling around the bee sting, my mother says this is an infected bee sting. Is it?

Go to the doc, mom might be right, or you have a mild reaction.
Take care.

Our body changes almost daily it seems. Yoou can go your whole life w/o being allergic to something and then you are. For instance I grew up on a farm and poison ivy was everywhere. I never had the slightest reaction to it until I was 21. Yes to the Benedril and DR. Next time you get stung apply some Vick's Vapor Rub to the area as quick as you can. Not sure if it's the menthol in it or what but it takes the pain away quite quickly. I've also heard to soak a match in water to make a soggy sulfures paste. Then apply the paste to the sting.

You definately should go to the doctor.
Allergies do not occur upon your body's first exposure to an allergen, but the second, then an over-active immune response is triggered.
This has all the symptoms you listed.
But the scary part is a process called Anaphalaix. It's a DEADLY allergic reaction that causes your airway to close and you choke to death. It can happen in minutes hours or days.
The best treatment is Adreanaline, also called Epinephrin. It opens the closing airways and combats the allergic reaction.

Go to the emergency room. This could be a deadly response, in fact, call 911.You need help now.

I am a Combat Medic in Iraq, I know what I'm talking about.

Next time you get stung, take the tobacco out of a cigarette and put it in your mouth and place it right on top of the bee sting. This will help draw out the poison that causes you to swell up. Sounds nasty but better than a swollen eye. = )

You definitely had an inflammatory response. Make sure the stinger is taken out (this doesn't hurt). Apply ice or cold packs to your eye to help relieve swelling.
Getting stung on the face is just about the worst place to get stung.. The venom can work its way around the surface blood vessels and spread to the eyes, which very much dislike bee venom. Cheer up, it will go away. You can take 25 mg. of Benadryl to help with the inflammation (but this might make you sleepy).

Go to the doctor! That doesn't sound normal for a bee sting. Usually they swell up and subside over a few days.

Sounds like you are having a reaction to the sting. I would call the doctors, I would also take some Benedryl, it's supposed to help alot for the people that have reactions to stings.

Hope you feel better!!!

Your mother is nearby presumably and is able to see it. I suspect she is right. Bee stings leave a barb behind, I assume that the barb has gone.

Would be worth checking out with your family doctor or local accident and emergency dept.

yes!!! i got stung by a bee and it was red for about 24hours and it didn't swell. redness and swelling means infection. get medical attention asap. just because the temperature and swelling are gone doesn't mean the infection is.

That sounds like a allergic reaction you'd better see a doctor about it and next time tell your parents sooner. They should have taken you to an E.R. nearest you.
