Depends on where in the USA and what the cost of living in the area is. In PA I think one would need to earn about $50,000/year to live a comfortable life.

This will depend on two things: (1) where you want to live and (2) what your idea of "comfortable" is.

(1) where you live: A lot of places are very expensive to live in. Large cities like New York, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco--the cost of living in these places is quite high, and though they may have cheap places to live there, you won't want to live in them because the cheapest places will be in very high crime areas.

The midwest, in small towns, is probably the most comfortable place--lower crime, cheaper cost of living. But income levels are also lower here.

(2) what do you think is "comfortable?" Does it mean owning your own home? Renting? Making enough money to go out to eat once a month? Buying anything you want? This should be your first concern: finding out what your own standards are, then trying to find income and situation that matches them.

You can live "comfortably" by some standard for as low as $15000 a year in the US. You can also live quite well for a lot more, of course. But like I said, this entirely depends on your own standards.

Doesn't matter really, our government will take it away anyway. The ONLY way to live comfortable here is to have a job that continuously pays you $100,000 or more a year. Our government will STILL take alot of it but at least you'll have enough left over to buy gas to get back to work

Define "comfortable". Does it include having cable internet and cellular phone service? Does it include having a car? Also, the part of the country in which you live will make a huge difference; it is very expensive to live in CA or in NYC (from what I've heard).

10% pay large difference is plenty yet im no longer certain if i'd commence throughout in a clean company for it. For me it would advise an extra 225 greenbacks or so after taxes each and each month. I dont imagine its adequate to ascertain my relations an hour a lot less an afternoon and spend that a lot extra in gas.

It depends on where you live in the US. In central California, you would need to make at least 50,000 to comfortably support a small family. If you live in either southern or northern california, you would need to make at 80,000 to live the same.

Define comfortable! There are people that make 20,000 a year and are comfortable and people that make 300,000 a year and are not comfortable.
