It isn't really possible to just lose fat from your legs. If you exercise your legs too much by doing stairs or cycling you will actually make them bigger because the muscle size will increase.

I have the same problem and it is very frustrating. You can't target which parts of your body it burns fat from. It just isn't possible. Your best bet is to get skinny all over by watching what you eat and doing lots of running and cardio and do more upper body work so that your body looks more in proportion.

Good luck!

Use weight machines that will help tone the muscles in the area(s) you're trying to slim. Also, things like squats, lunges, and the like can be very effective. Look online for leg exercises. About.com has some good suggestions for workouts that focus on specific areas.

I'm interested in the answer's to this one. Most say running, but I noticed with my legs my calfs would just get bigger, and legs more muscleler. Since, summer has a arrived, I've noticed while I swim I feel also like I'm stretching and lengthening my body, so maybe swimming may be a good thing too. Good luck, and I'll also be checking out your answers if you don't mind:)

Resistance training on your legs only can help slimming down the legs and toning up. Because the extra muscle burns more calories in that area.
