On Top Of the Pain, Do YOU have any Idea How embarrassing it is to be cuffed and chained front of your freinds.. the police showed no compassion to me (a female) and basically man handled me like I was a serious criminal

It sounds like that's more than "a little problem" if they pulled out the leg irons. Without knowing all of the circumstances of the arrest, it would be difficult to answer. However, the type of handcuffs they probably used were the hinged variety, which don't allow you to twist your wrists in relation to each other. Those are usually used as extra security, which would be consistent with the leg irons. If you tried to twist around in those, they'll certainly hurt as there's no give.

I think you should be more concerned about the decisions that YOU made that led you to be arrested and put in cuff's and chains. Get your act together. You want to blame the police for a situation that you created???? News flash- most people don't get arrested, most people if arrested aren't put in leg chains. Get off the drugs and/or alcohol, you obviously can't handle them. Use those sore wrists as a reminder to think about what you are doing and to make better decisions.

Proper police procedure is to cuff behind the suspects back ,leg iron is used when the person is a danger to themselves or the officers . You most likely have sore wrists from natural resistance to the position the had you in . advise ....dont get arrested again and ice your wrists

While I haven't had the leg chains, I've certainly had the solid cuffs behind the back, and they can hurt and leave an ache. If you are seriously injured and have medical records to prove it, see an attorney. If the pain is minimal and its your word against theirs, you can probably forget about it, as the procedure itself sounds pretty standard.

talk to a lawyer. I guess it depends on where the pain is.
handcuffs come with a safety pin that is supposed to be pressed in by the police to keep the handcuffs from tightening. so if the pain is on the outside of your wrists it is from you trying to pull your hands apart and it isn't their fault it's yours from being combative.

my question to you is "what the hell did you do?"

You dont have a case against them, its very normal procedure, they do that so you dont run away or hurt anyone. Cry baby grow up. I hope they take your license away, you are too immature to be driving and drinking. And yes you are a serious criminal, you could have killed someone

If you were breaking the law, then resisting arrest and fighting them. sorry it sounds like you do NOT have a case against them. You will probably be sore for 2 or 3 days.

1st of all.....are you below age.If you are below age of 18, they have no right to cuff you unless you really commit crime. If you are under detention the right hour given by law is 48 hrs and proceding to72 hours if they had concrete evidence against you.And if you are below 18 and the mention above is not in the listed then you are in the favourable condition to raise for sueing.

You should not have done whatever you did to get arrested. The police have authority to arrest you for committing crimes. They also have to power to protect themselves at all costs, even shooting you.
Quit your crying and obey the laws

if they got ur wrists and ankle.... what did you do? If you were fighting them than yes they would have to go to extremes to contain you. If your wrists still hurt next week go to a DR and than to a lawyer.
