Has anyone noticed that Mdonalds has completly changed their image to try to attract adults more than kids anymore. It used to be fun only when you were five right? All the things that made it fun is gone. you dont see birdie, gremis, fry kids, mcnugget buddies, or hamburgerler anymore. What happened? Why is it so sucky?

Yeah, adults are getting tired of mass marketing to children. Also, McD's has emphasized happy meals for kids which are much slicker than the old McDonaldland characters. Ronald is still around.

Also, adults are getting tired of eating the McGreaseballs, the McCholesterol shakes, and the McDiabetes bucket of pop they serve you.

Gotta clean up the image to make people forget about the health consequences of eating at McD's all the time. (See the movie, Supersize Me)

They don't want to be sued for making kids fat.

I'm no huge fan of McDonald's, but I'll credit them with one thing: they've turned their marketing from the experience to the food, which is what any restaurant should do. If you're selling the experience, then chances are your food is subpar. Ultimately, people go to a restaurant to get fed. Back when McDonald's was all about Ronald and his buddies, their whole impetus to get people in was to convince the kids to beg and plead with their parents to get a Happy Meal, or go to the Playplace or whatever. Now at least it's, "Hey, come on in, have something to eat."

I guess adults spent more money there than children.... However maybe those characters appealed to a certain generation, and the current generation has different interests. There are still playgrounds in the McDonalds, and I see kids playing on them all the time..

Now, think about iit, that Hamburgler guy is kind of creepy... I do not think I would like my kids to hang around him...

If you ask me, it's pretty much 50/50. They attract adults bigtime with those salads, not to mention the cute and funny happy meals and toys for the kids. Just watch tv for a half and hour and you'll see what i mean.

Maybe they thought people were getting wise as to how awful the food is for you. Even their adult health food is crap. If it wouldn't ruin the economy, I'd wish McD's out of business.

i think because when McDonald's 1st opened it was focusing on the little kids who grew up now
and now after people realizing that junk food is not healthy especially to kids they want to get back to their original customers who are now older
