I think you have to deworm your puppy many times..My dog started getting dewormed at 4 months old and has gotten the pill 3 times now. But you should just ask your vet.

Do you know what I think ---- It would be best if your boyfriend GOT RID of him now and give him back to whoever bred this dog and let them start again. For a start you have him way too early. He should not have left his litter until 8 weeks old and we on here therefore know that this is a not only byb's dog who has had a mixed breeding but also has got shot of the litter to save her some money and from cleaning up all the poop and pees that a litter of pups do. He is far too young to expect to get housetrained in 5 days anyway, and if you can't cope with it then what are you going to do for the next approx. 4 months that he will still have accidents in the house. Then he shouldn't be out on a PROPER WALK at all. He is far too young to have got his vaccinations yet let alone cleared them all by 10 days. A puppy is close to 3 months by the time it is clear to go out. Then a young puppy of this age should not be on Proper walks anyway because of its joints. You will be talking 5 mins per day per month of life for walking plus free play indoors or out. If you have bought a puppy that is too young anyway, and are in a flat then you have to understand that it is going to take a while to get this. A puppy of this age cannot hold it, just like a human baby. You are expecting way too much. Look into crate training.

I do it around 8 weeks with just a mild dewormer. That kind you break open and sprinkle the Powder on their food.

When they are 8 weeks old you can start deworming unless they are sick.

Have a fecal test for worms first. In my last two litters not a single puppy needed to be wormed. No sense in putting poisons into your pup unless you really have to.
