This is a matter of dominance. Your male cat and your female cat both think they rule over the rest. And of course your two will "fight" to see who is "the ruler of all". Being spayed/neutered has nothing to do with it!

You may need to take the female cat to the vet and have her checked out. It's been my experience when one animal becomes ill, the other knows this and will try to keep it away from its territory. Think of it as "survival of the fittest."

My Tom cat (6)has been fixed for 3 years and still thinks he can do his manly duties, our Vet said they are born with it . Some loose it and some do not. I guess you & I are the unlucky ones. Good Luck!

maybe your cat just doesn't like that cat. It is fine. They may be playing, too. if it is so aggressive where the female gets bitten, scracthed, or injured in any way, call the vet. They'll tell you.
