How about nameing a girl a real name? what would be wrong with that?
I don't like names like "Jaysun" for girls or boys. It's not a name. It's a made up word. When will people figure out that a child grows up to carry the name you give them? A "name" like this is something that a child will spend the rest of life explaining to others. This one just looks like you can't spell Jason and you're not sure if the child is a boy or not.

I am all for originality and Jaysun is definately that but personally I don't like it for a girl.
Like someone said before people will automatically think that the girl is called Jason and she will spend her entire life explaining the meaning of the name and it just doesn't sound feminine to me. Sorry.

I think Jaysun is a cute name for a girl. Boys names are popular as girls names....after all my name is Randy and I'm a girl! :)

I think that while the meaning behind it is good and nice, no one else will know that without the poor child having to explain it everytime they turn around. People will just assume it is like the boy name "Jason". I wouldn't suggest it. It will just lead to years of teasing. Maybe there is something similar you could compromise with.

It is not inappropriate but it is confusing.
Do you want that pretty little girl to explain her name for the rest of her life?

why not exspecially considering why you like it. my daughter's name began as a male hebrew name. it was made femine as the name you have picked. many names are universal.
