Wiping down just isn't doing it. Can I spray it with a mild detergent? I don't know if it will harm anything under the keys or not. Thank You!!

Never spray the keyboard with anything. Spray some detergent mixture on a rag so it is light wet but not enough for liquid to ooze out of it. Then wipe down the surface. Use a vacuum to clean around the keys.

I usually use a product called Duster. It is compressed air in a can with a very thin straw like nozzel. It works wonders for cleaning dirt you can't see under the keys. Then I use a damn washcloth with mild detergent to wipe off the surface of the keys.

Cyndee this is what I do; I tip the keyboard & shake the crap, ashes & dust mostly, off! When I get sticky stuff, rarely, I spray the detergent into a paper towel and wipe the stuff off! I usually use a can of compressed air to clean it after all the above!

actually some newer keyboards are waterproof if yours isn't just rub with a slight damp cloth make sure all water is out of the cloth so nothing drips or just unsrew it from the back take off the top where the keys are clean it let it dry and you will be fine if alll else fails get a black keyboard

You can easily unplug the keys with a screw driver just go under the key and pop the key up.. after you remove all the keys use a wet clean cloth and return the keys back..

Well maybe if you had some of those wet wipes that aren't too wet it might clean your keyboard or get a dust sweeper.

Depends on what keyboard you have
For example, on mine, I can unplug it, pop out all the keys, clean it, then put them back in
