I have my hard disk partitioned. Now I want to remove one partition and not affect the other one where I have Windows XP loaded..

If you remove a partition, you lose everything on it.
Start
Control Panel
Administrative Tools
Computer Management
Click "Disk Management" on the left in the window that pops up.
Right Click the partition in the graph below, and choose Delete Partition

Others have given good instructions on deleting a partition but I have to ask, why do you want to delete it? You won't gain any space back on your existing partitions by doing so, so the space will still be unavailable. The only reasons to delete a partition are: 1) you want to create new partitions of a different geometry or type; 2) you are annoyed by that D: drive (or whatever it is) showing up.

Run the utility : diskmgmt.msc. Select remove on the partition you want to remove and restart the computer for the changes to take effect.
