I am not sure what makes you put such a question but still I will try to answer it. Hinduism is a vide term given to a big conglomerate of people who have varied practices. But the refernce you make pertains to the fact that Hinduism recognises God in each and every organism. There are many forms of animals which are idolised and worshipped. Cow and monkey also form a part. Its basically a symbolism which has evolved over thousands of years.

The mommy daddy part of the question could not be deciphered other than the fact that we also worship parents also.... Sound confusing...... Ha ha .... if you are serious come to India to get your fundamentals right.

Hinduism is very old...the time when humanity just started so there are certain things which may look odd to people

COW: Since most of ancient hindus were based on agriculture, cow was an important factor in their life. Wise sages told simple farmers to respect cow like mother because she gave milk and her calves would help in agriculture.

Monkey: Hindus dont worship monkeys..In the epic Ramayan Lord Rama took help of monkey like people ( perhaps the misssing links), to defeat the devil. Hauman who is an angel in the epic, is still respected by hindus. His face was like monkey but body like human

Not only this hindus worship, snakes, tigers, trees and rivers too just to show their gratitude to anyone who is helping them.

Hindu culture is quite different from western culture, and westerners make mockery of our culture due to the ignorance of our culture and religion and due to the bad publicity done by christian missionaries to malign hinduism

Hindu phiolosophy is very deep...Hinduism is not these rituals... It starts from worshipping idols and ends in the Ultimate Truth

Hindus worship Bull as Father and Cow as Mother.
Bull Helps in Agriculture and from Farming we all get our food, Hence Bull is also our Father.
Cow gives us Milk long after our own mother has stopped feeding us Milk. Milk is a very important part of any Human nutrition. Hence Cow is Mother.

You are really doing good job of spreading hatered against hindus....

hindus never worship monkeys and cows as father and mother

Hindus respect god and his creations...and have respect for all animals, rivers, forests, and oceans, Sun, moon anything made by god

Hindu philosophy is very deep and it works on the mind, matter truth, universe and God.

You will not get anything by making mockery of hindus..

Hindus do not condemn non-hindus to hell... you are learning your lessons, we ours

I have seen your other questions too.. you are actually a racist..who hates all those non-whites and try to make mockery of them by such questions

May god give you peace and love

You can make fun of Hindus if you want but I assure you that these people know God more completely than most of the bible thumpers that spout nonsense about God on this forum. Perhaps you should study some Hindu scripture if you intellect can handle it you will be surprised to learn that western science and theology are just now catching up to what Hindu scripture was teaching 4000 years ago. Your comment is based on ignorance, as are all derogatory comments toward the faith of others.

God is certainly more pleased with the sincere prayers of a devout Hindu than he is with bigoted ravings of many whom mistakenly call them selves Christians. Love and blessings. Your brother Don

I havent heard of anything like that before...and sure it is an exaggeration.....your question may be because of:

1) Ignorance;or
2) Your hatred towards people or culture;or
3) Your inability to deal with situations, which you are taking it this way.

or could be a combination of any of these....but then iam not an expert...you should be a better judge of yourself...

Iam myself a hindu but not religious offcourse...I do make fun of my own religion....iam spiritual though.....but in short your assessment is wrong....

but yes they do have reverence towards animals...more a cultural thing....
