No you can not. A title of the car indicate to the DMV who the car belongs to.

If you had misplaced the title, you need to file a lost of title form for it to be replace before transfer to it to another owner.

no in india it's practically acc. to law is not possible. ya if u are dealing in second hand car then both buyer and seller have to get noc. from each other according to which there is no need of registration but insurance must be transferred on the name of buyer so that no problem exists if one wants to claim from insurance company though rc should also be changed after some time bec. noc is also a temperory phase. it's always good to have vehicle on buyers name.

In CA yes you can. If you are the legal registered owner of the car you would just need to sell it with a bill of sale. the new owner will have no problem getting a title. the DMV will provide you with the bill of sale, or you can go to www.dmv.ca.gov and download one from there.

Yes but..the person buying it will have a heck of a time getting a title. Unless they want the car for parts it's not recommended..at any rate get a signed bill of sale....

Go get a lost title form from your local DMV. Get it notarized by the owner of record.

Don't own the car? Is it at your repair shop??? Have a licensed repair facility file ABA papers.

Legally ? The buyer will not be able to get a license plates for the vehicle.

You can go to motor vehicle department for your state and request a replacement title. They can issue an abandoned title, duplicate title, or salvage title. They will check to see if it has been reported stolen.
