I think the simplest thing to cook that is nice is spaghetti. How can you go wrong? Just buy some canned or bottled sauce, add some cooked hamburger meat, or Italian sausage, or both, whatever else you like, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers........let it simmer for while. Boil a big pan of water, cook your spaghetti noodles until they are done to your taste. Keep stirring the noodles once in awhile so they don't stick ( some say put a little bit of oil in the water and salt and that helps ) Bake a loaf of French Bread with some butter and garlic salt. Maybe a simple but nice salad and you have a wonder ful meal that every one loves that is simple and nice. Are we all invited ;-)

A Frittata.
take a few eggs, some chesse, some tomatoes, some veg, some meat, throw them into a hot pan cook until nearly done then finish up under the grill.
Its works from Students to Egon Ronay. and is a great way to use up leftovers and make them tasty - it is cheap healthy and quick!
or spinnach pie - take ready roll puff pastry add some spinnach that has been lightly cooked and drained (or frozen stuff defrosted, add a few cherry tomators, some pine nuts and motzarella cheese) fold over the top, peierce a few holes in pastry then cook in over at 210 - 225 C until brown and even.

Baked potatos and cheese. There's nothing better in the world.
Pre-heat your oven to about 180 degrees C.
Get a large sized baking potato, and cover the skin with oil and salt.
Put it in the oven and leave it there for around 45 minutes. You can tell when it's done by pushing a knife into it, and if you meet any resistance from the potato inside, then it needs more time.
When it's done, take it out, cut it in half so it looks like an open muscle shell.
Put some butter inside the potato, and cover it liberally with grated cheese.
Wait for the cheese to melt.
Then enjoy.
It that's not enough to fill you up, you can enjoy it with beans or instant noodles.

cheesy chips. You could use the packet oven chips and just follow the instructions on there and then when you have about 2 minutes until they are done, you sprinkle grated cheese on top and leave it to melt for the remaining two minutes. Or you could do real chips so you would just have to cut up some potatoes and make them as thin or thick as you like. Cook them in vegetable oil until they are golden, or however you like them but golden will be nice and soft. And then you drain the fat of the chips with kitchen towel and pop them under a medium grill with the sprinkled cheese for about 1 or 2 minutes or you can just sprinkle the cheese on and serve like that.

Mexican Tortillini
1 pack of ground beef/or Ground Turkey
3/4 cup of cold water
1 pack of Taco Bell taco seasoning
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
1 pack of shredded cheese
Prep: Chop up green and red peppers. Measure 3/4 cup of water.
Put Ground Beef/ Ground Turkey into a low pan. Put a lid on it and let the meat turn brown. I'd say first give it 10 minutes to turn brown. It usually takes a little longer than that, though. Once meat is brown, Add 3/4 cup of water to the meat. Let the water come to a boil, it usually takes 6-7 minutes. Once the water is boiling, empty the taco seasoning into the meat and water. Stir well. Drain water. LEAVE BURNER ON. Put the lid on the pan to keep the meat warm. Add chopped peppers to the meat. Let the peppers satee'. Add cheese. Add to tortilla shells. Enjoy!!
