Will baby oil do anything to reduce the appearance of scars?

I have a lot of scars on my legs from self harm and I hate them. I know you can buy things like Bio Oil, but it's really expensive - has anyone used it and found it effective? I don't mind paying if it will actually work, but I don't want to waste my money.

I've used vitamin E oil as well, bursting open capsules and rubbing that into the scars, but it's so fiddly and messy. Does anyone know if you can buy a bottle of vitamin E oil anywhere?

Thanks.

Rosehip Seed oil is good for scar reduction as is Wheatgerm Oil due to its high content of Vit. E. There is a website called Abbey Botanicals that sells bottles of Wheatgerm and Rosehip oil. I have posted the link below.

I had very good results on scars from stitches using Band Aid's Scar Healing strips. I also liked you can buy in a sheet and cut to the size or shape you need.

"Mederma" is best for scars. Dermatologists recommend it all the time! You can buy it at a drug store like "Walgreens". You have to use it for at least 6 weeks.

I hope you aren't still cutting!
