The child has been of adhd medication for four years give or take a few months. The problems are getting gradually worse. She has no patience with anything, cant sit still. I know that is a normal kid though but as she gets older it is like she is also getting younger. She is ten years old but she acts like she is 6. It isn't only when she dont get her own way it is all the time. I need real advice about this. What can i do and what is treatment available? Please explain in detail your findings. What is the difference between the two and what do you think is wrong?

Make sure that the child is getting proper follow up care with a psychiatrist that specializes in pediatrics and is familiar with ADHD, and one that works with the family to use behavioral interventions as well as meds to treat. She and her primary care taker should be meeting with her psychiatrist/doctor once a month (six weeks at the longest) for care and to discuss what's working and what's not. Six is very young to have been started on meds and hopefully she has been properly diagnosed. Kids also can suffer from bipolar disease, which needs to be treated very differently than ADHD. There also may be a good support group in your area for kids and families dealing with same issues. Kids with moderate to severe ADHD (all kids, really) benefit from highly structured, consistent environment, everyone working together as a team--many agencies can help, too. Ask child's doctor to refer you to one in your area.

my son is almost 10 and at age 5 he was diagnosed with adhd. we had him tested by the pediatrician first then by the school board. depending on where you live , some states will do the testing for free through the school systems. we also had him checked and tested by a psychiatrist. we have tried all kinds of medication. the only one that worked is a "catapres patch" . it is a patch that my son can now put on and take off by himself every week. the medicine is actually used for high blood pressure and as a calming, theraputic medicine for adults. we have a low dose. he has used this patch for almost 4 years. this patch doesn't have many side effects and it is time released so he gets the right amount of medicine all the time. when he is out of school for the summer we let him go without the patch . we try to teach him to control his actions without medications. it is very difficult to do. he definitely needs the help of the medication to concentrate in school and sit in his seat. my son was also held back in kindergarden so his maturity level is a year behind him.

You need to take her into a physician, and a psychiatrist for a proper diagnosis. It would be dangerous, and irresponsible to try to diagnose a medical condition from an internet post.

Contact a local mental health care provider and inquire about having her evaluated. It's the only way to know.

since "the child" (yours???) is already on medication i would strongly advise you to talk to her doctor about this.
It could be caused by the medication, or it could be use full behaviour for her
