They said I I had advanced gum disease that's why my teeth were loose and coming out. I don't have any teeth at all now, and my mouth is still so sore. I have to go back to the dentist on Tuesday to get checked and get some stitiches out, but I was wondering how long it will be before I start to feel "normal" again.

I have some pain medicine and hope to get dentures, but it will be at least 8 or 9 months probly before I get them. I was just wondering how long my mouth will hurt and look all tore up inside.

The pain will not last for more than a week, and the stitiches will be the only thing bothering you, but dont worry too much about the pain, now that the wound is fresh you got to be carefull, eating some stuff may cause infection, eat what ever the dentist tells you to, only that, you shouldnt take risks.

So, in worst case scenario it will take you 2 weeks too get used to been toothless, and you will eventaully be able too chew some soft food.

Take care!!!! & dont listen to the mean things you might hear.!!!

I had my wisdom teeth taken out last month, so I feel your pain. I hope they gave you pain medication. If they gave you codiene, take a few ibuprofin with it and it works better.

You can expect to feel pain for at least a week or two, and it will be several months before the holes close. In the meantime, you'll need to irrigate the holes (they'll give you a plastic syringe thingy to shoot salt water into them) so food doesn't get caught in them, resulting in infection. I hope your face didn't swell. Ice packs help a lot.

I wish you the best, and hope they can fit you with dentures or something.

I just wish I could reach through the computer and scoop you up and take care of you. I am so sad for you. Take care little angel. I pray that a guardian angel shows up on your door step and helps you have the smile you deserve someday.

Are you serious?

Wow.

I dunno how long it will last. They should have given you pain meds. But, you probably won't feel normal until you get dentures or something in place.
